Hey Everyone!

Just need some opinions from other Disney-loving brides!

DF and I are getting married in October 2012 but cannot take our honeymoon then because he won't have enough time off.

We were initially thinking of two weeks in Europe (Paris and Disneyland Paris, London, Venice...) but, I decided I really don't want to wait until spring for our honeymoon. Also, it's difficult for him to get two weeks off at once and the best time for him to manage it is January. I don't necessarily want our first European Vacation to be in winter (brrr). I'm NOT a cold weather fan.

Anyway, we want to do Disney as part but not all of our honeymoon. So, we are now down to Florida or Cali in January 2013. Two weeks. If we go to Cali we will probably do 4-5 days at Disneyland (neither of us have been), and do some other sightseeing in the LA area and San Diego. The problem with this plan is that I feel like it will be missing a lot of romance. On the other hand, it has us both going places we've never been before. That's a plus.

If we go to Florida, my plan was to do a 4 or 5 day cruise and spend the rest of the time a Disney. But, I'm worried that the Bahamas in January might be too cold. Has anyone here done a Bahamas Disney Cruise at that time of year?

Opinions? We've both been to WDW (his first visit was 3 months ago). We saw a lot on that trip, but there's still a ton to see and do. Neither of us have been to Disneyland and we really want to go, but from my research it seems like a lot more romance can be found at WDW. It seems like the better honeymoon choice?

I'm so torn! I know we have time to decide, but I like to plan. Also, I really want to do a honeymoon registry.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

We've been on the Dream in Sept, it was amazing! I have heard that in Jan it is pretty cold, that you can't really get in the ocean at Castaway (that would be a bummer, because it is awesome there)!
Good luck deciding, and Congrats!

Congrats!! hmmm, well we have been to Disneyland (in October) and though I can see points of WDW having more "romantic moments", Disneyland if you've never been there can be romantic in its own way- you're both going to a place you've never been and it's exciting to discover and figure it out together! San Diego, specifically La Jolla is gorgeous and romantic. I would suggest maybe going to La Jolla and spending a few days in Disneyland. We stayed at the Grand Californian and the resort was very cozy, there is a mandara spa there (we did a couples massage which was amazing there). They also have several intimate restaurants and etc.

I've also been to the bahamas in the winter (early Feb). I think it just depends, we're from CT and we're having a very mild winter this year (it was 51 degrees on NYE!). When I went in Feb (will be two years now this Feb), it was 85 and gorgeous.

Good luck deciding, I think either way you won't be disappointed!! :lovestruc
