I know only time can tell but I have to ask

Still a work in progress and more then likely always well be

So if I were to get all ticket numbers and link them to MDE even with out dates I can mess around with fp times

Yes, if you purchase tickets now, they'd be good until December 31, 2018, so you can play around with fp times within a 30 day window. Basically you'd be able to look at what fastpasses are available until August 6 as of today. If you book a Disney hotel reservation then that window extends to 60 days. You would be able to do this loop ad naseam until the tickets expire.

If you link the tickets to MDE accounts then you can make FP+ up to 30 days in advance even without a resort reservation.
So I would highly recommend doing that. If dates change then its no big deal, you'll just have to try for the new dates but if dates don't change then you will have your FP+ selections all set.

I am sorry I am slow so it is not just a one time shot I can play all I want until we enter AK

Yes. You are able to change your times as often as you'd like, provided there are available FPs. You can even cancel your original three and pick FPs for a different park completely in advance.

I thought we would have more notice I did not realize it would be a last minute planning trip for lack of better term for it so well just CS it this trip read my latest in the restaurant thread you well see that I see that she we'll be just fine

Please remember that we are not all reading all of your posts. Including all relevant info in each new thread will be so helpful.

Also, maybe make a pre trip report. It's not all of the same people who will read it, but those that do read it will st least know all of your plans!

From your posts a couple years ago...don't you fly in? How are you guys getting to Disney on ANY sort of budget if you don't know when you're going and are booking a week out?

Don't worry, OP! The world will not end if you do not get an FOP Fastpass. There is a standby line. Yes, it will be long. But if your heart is set on riding FOP, you will find a way, even if it's not the preferred way. Just because you don't get a FP doesn't mean you won't be able to ride. You'll just have to adjust other plans to accommodate (as you mentioned in your post, rope drop is an option. That is great news!)

I would be realistic in your expectations. You probably won't get a FP. Maybe you will and that will be a great surprise! But you will ride FOP one way or another if your heart is set on it (with the exception of if there are unforeseen technical difficulties.)

Ah, so you won't know your travel dates until a week or so prior to travel? That's tough. So you can't make any hotel reservations until a week before you leave? I would still do like a pp suggested and make some fp's at 30 days out so you will possibly have something. Then cancel what you don't need once you have your dates. By scattering them, you should have something booked you can use.

I'm not ever a grammar nazi, but I have no idea what exactly you're trying to say in your posts.
Ok, I agree. But can I ask, in all sincerity, not trying to be rude or judgmental, why are you continuing to write post with no punctuation? It makes it so hard to read your post. Others have ask you this as well. Will you please consider to take an extra minute or so with punctuation?

Unless you are a WDW expert, do not attempt to "plan" a trip one week out. I guess not much planning can be done a week out, anyhow. Take a deep breath, regroup, and find a time (in the future) that works for everyone.

Probably best advice given to the OP yet. Some people can manage just fine on a last minute trip. Even some newbies. Nothing posted by the OP so far indicates that they are one who will be

I think you are driving yourself crazy on a planning forum when you are actually unable to plan at all. There isn't much anybody can say to help you this far in advance, without definite dates (Feb is a mixture of seriously busy and reasonably slow). I would come back closer to your trip and see how the land lies then.

I would like to ask the OP, how many times have you been to Disney World?

I agree

It's More THAN and WILL be. And you forgot a period. Isn't that tough to put a few extra seconds into polishing your posts.

It's more (more shouldn't be capitalized) than and will be. And you forgot a period. It (you forgot a whole word here) isn't that tough to put a few extra seconds into polishing your posts.

You should take your own advice. You know what they say about people in glass houses...

To the OP - I think you should set your expectations. If it's something you REALLY want to ride, you'll just have to stand in line awhile. Personally, I have never ridden a ride at Disney or anywhere else that was worth waiting more than 45 minutes.

There are a lot of posts in here but if you're mainly asking, "Will I be able to book a FP for Flight of Passage with one week notice?"
The answer is No unless you are Lotto-winning lucky. FOP is the hardest FP to get by far and is usually only able to be booked 60+ days out for guests staying at a Disney resort. By 63 days from each date all FP for FOP are gone and you won't get one unless you check right at the same time someone else just cancelled theirs.

If your follow-up question is "If I don't yet have a resort reservation, can I book FP 30 days from when I think the trip will be and change to a different date if needed?"
The answer is as long as you have tickets purchased you can make FP selections 30 days out from when you think your trip might be. If that changes you can cancel your current selections and make new ones for the new dates. That said, please read above statement about FOP availability. Unless you already have a room booked at a Disney resort and can make your FP+ selections 60 days out you will not be getting one for FOP unless you are extremely lucky.

So to sum up: Don't expect a FP+ for FOP. Plan on an early morning of getting to AK 60 minutes prior to rope drop if you don't want to wait in a long line.
