Well hello there! I just got back from a WDW part solo/part half family trip (well, the WDW part was at the beginning of February, but I/we spent the rest of the month travelling elsewhere), and wanted to have my hand at a trip report, to share my experiences with folks looking for advice and folks who share my love for Disney (unfortunately most of my friends don’t and my story’s are just going in one ear and out the other!). I didn’t have ANY time to write anything down during the holiday, so this may take a while to finish, bear with me!

ABOUT ME/ US

I’m 22 from Australia, been to WDW a few times as a child, and again a few years ago when I was 19, did a lot of riding and not much of anything else. This time I was really wanting to get into the other elements (characters, shows, dining etc.). I work as a children’s entertainer and performer, so as you can imagine, these elements were particularly interesting to me for inspiration.

I went along with my brother, 18, under the understanding that part of the time we would be together, the other part of the time we’d be solo. We had separate rooms and I suspect days we went solo he spent a lot of time in DQ.

Here's us with snow white:

My brother's not really into being in pictures, this is one of the few I could find us together in

PLANNING/ GETTING THERE

This was a pretty last minute trip, particularly coming from the other side of the world. I believe I booked flights around mid-November, and accommodation at the end of Nov. I was a planning Nazi, this being the first time I’ve had any hand in the planning, I was quiet excited. I planned EVERYTHING (full well knowing half of it would go out the window when I arrived) I’ve never enjoyed planning something so much! I mostly used touring plans to decide what I would do first, second etc. I googled for lists of ‘secret’ things to do and see, over and over again, and just when I thought I’d found every secret anyone had ever listed, I’d find a new one! I tackled FP+ reservations like a solider, figuring out all of them exactly as I wanted. Needless to say, I was OCD in my planning. I even drew little maps of the parks with schedules for the day.

20150127_162306.jpg

My map of Epcot resembles a little robot

Like I said, I knew I wouldn’t stick to half of it, what’s a holiday without spontaneity, but I was having so much fun planning!

I flew over by myself, my brother was coming a few days later. From Australia it’s normally a 14 hour flight, I had a stop over in New Zealand so fight time ended up being around 15 hours overnight. I slept for about 4 of them. Needless to say the rest of the time I was watching Disney movies.

NZ airport was quiet pretty with some nice views

I was stopping in LA for a few days, I’d heard terrifying things about the airport and this was my first time travelling abroad solo. Thankfully the airport was no issue, I got through in record breaking time. A few days later I was back at the airport and heading to Orlando. I actually found it more confusing going into LA domestic airport then coming out of the international airport. But I got through it, got to Orlando hassle free, found magical express and got to WDW with no issues (and no lunch, with my body thinking it was lunch time but it actually being dinner time, I hate time zones!).

I/we stayed at all star sports, not my choice of all stars but It’s what they had available. I checked in, was told my brother was in the room next to me (which actually wasn’t that helpful, since there was TWO rooms next to me, I had to wait until the next morning to find out which one) and went to see my room. Previously we’d stayed at Port Orleans, I found the room to almost exactly the same except sports themed, wouldn’t need anything more as just one person. The main difference was that the resort wasn’t as ‘pretty’, I didn’t spend much time there except to sleep so I didn’t mind to much. My only ‘complaint’ if you can call it that, was the room safe was a bit small and key operated, I was so concerned I’d forget I had the key when checking out and end up leaving my valuables behind, I didn’t use it at all and had to take everything with me into the parks.

I grabbed a quick dinner (I don’t even remember what) and crashed. Sorry, didn’t take any photo’s of the resort or room.

February 2nd 2015 - We Walked Home From The Moon or We Broke Epcot!

So I met up with my brother at the food court (he was late, and on the first day too!), we grabbed a quick breakfast and jumped on the bus to Epcot. I believe we got there somewhere around 15-20 minutes before park open. We headed straight to Soarin’ as it was the one ride we wanted to get a FP for but couldn’t. Wait was 5 minutes, yes! We’d ridden Soarin’ in DL before, I felt like I couldn’t smell the oranges as much as I remembered!

GOPR0111.jpg

We then had a FP booked for Spaceship earth, which wasn’t really necessary, I just needed to fill that slot. You get to pick what language you’d like the commentary in, we picked Portuguese despite not speaking a word of it, in the hope of learning some new words. It didn’t work. So we got to the top of the ride where you’re on the moon and….it stops…..still stopped…….still stopped…..the lights go on, and then we’re being told to wait for a CM. Yes, we had to evacuate all the way from the stop of spaceship earth, or, as we kept saying, we had to walk home from the moon!

It took a while to get out, and it wasn’t really that much of an interesting ride to walk out on, the only thing we learnt was that stars are little holes in a black sheet, but now we get to say that we walked home from the moon, so that’s a neat thing to say you did on your holiday!

By the time we got out it was time for our test track FP. On the way we noticed that the wait time for soarin’ was not 60 minutes, so we picked well doing that first. Standby for test track was somewhere around 45 mins but with FP we got pretty much straight into the designing room (where you design a car). We made the most ridiculous car we possibly could, it was bent over to one side and mustard yellow. As we were going through the first part of the ride, guess what? The car stopped! After about 5-10 minutes they got everything going again. I’m sure some people would be annoyed, but I found this hilarious! I knew unexpected things would interrupt my schedule, but cars breaking down and walking home from the moon! We’d ridden test track previously but with the old design, I have to say I prefer it the old way.

After test track when wondered over to the sea pavilion, wait time for Nemo was 30 minutes so we left it for the minute and went to look at the aquarium, it was a bit crowded though. We had a FP for turtle talk so went in to see that. I’ve always loved that show. Highlight was the child who asked an inaudible questions to which crush’s response was “ok…..any other questions?”.

It was about 11.30, we’d used all our booked FP’s and it was time for lunch. I had planned to pop over to Mexico for lunch, but we weren’t that hungry so we tried electric umbrella. I had the flatbread which, apart from being a bit oily, was really nice and my brother had the French dip burger. We made a tower from our plates/cups (clearly forgetting that at least one of us was supposed to be on adult duty).

We then wondered over to Journey into imagination, walked right on then had some fun being childish in the Imagine works. Then we headed to club cool to try the free soda samples from around the world. I have to say, it was crowded in here, maybe because it was around lunch time and the weather was a bit wet, but we tried most of the samples (I avoided the beverly and forced it upon my brother instead). I’d advice you not to go here if you’re feeling full, trying the samples can be surprisingly filling and it ruined me for eating much until dinner time! Maybe if you’re not in a hurry it would be nice to pop in and out whenever you wander past to try a different sample, instead of doing it all in one go, I think that’s what I’ll do next time.

By the time we were finished it was raining, but we put on our poncho’s and headed back to Nemo, which had a listed wait for 15 minutes but we walked right on, thankyou rain! (seriously folks, don’t hide from the rain if you want to ride, it’s the best time since everyone’s huddled in shops!). After we briefly poked around in project tomorrow, advanced training lab and innovations, then headed for world show case.

I can’t say we did much interesting in world show case, we had planned to eat around the world (just snacks) but we really weren’t hungry (this is unusual for us, especially my brother, I mean, he’s a teenage boy!) so all we had was a chocolate crepe in France. We poked in some shops and we met Alice, apparently some of her flowers weren’t talking to her that day, I don’t know why since she was super sweet!

GOPR0129.jpg

P1030696.jpg

Then we headed out via the international gate way (entry/exit at the back of the park) and took the ferry to HS. I’d never done this or even new about this before, I really enjoyed it. We had wanted to stop at beaches and cream, but again, we were still not hungry. It’s on my must try list for next time.

I’d read that it would be crowded at HS this day, but I thought we’d try anyway. Crowded it was, I wished I’d listen to what I’d read. If there’s extra magic hours in the evening for a park, stay away! We did get a chance to go on the Muppets (which I still LOVE as an adult, it still makes me laugh) and go on the Honey I shrunk the kids playset (we love playgrounds, we don’t get anything like this in Aus, of course we’re careful not to squish or intimidate the little ones, but we love the slippery dips as much as any thrill ride!). We poked in some shops, feeling a but lost on what to do with all the crowds, had some dinner, sharing ribs and mac and cheese hot dog (which was bizarre!) from Fairfax faire then decided to split before the fantasmic crowds came out, deciding it was too crowded to do anything else.

3rd February 2015- I Intendia to go that-a-way!

Tuesday we started out at AK. Got there 10 or so minutes before opening, and went through the rainforest café entrance (if it’s crowded go this way, only a few people there). We also found large mushroom at the back of it

P1030700.jpg

Unfortunately I did not shrink or grown upon eating it

We took some video in front of the tree, which is a tradition of our, we sing our own version of the circle of life song which starts with ‘I intendia to go that-a-way’. Then headed to expedition Everest, rode once in the standby which was 5 minutes then once with our FP, and I finally saw the yeti! Last time I couldn’t see it for the life of me. Then we did the safari, last time I did this we had several animals up really close, this time not so much. Then we used our FP for dinosaur, then went again in the stand by line which was only ten minutes. In the gift shop I bought a dinosaur hand puppet with the intention to take it to characters for amusing antics, we named him terry.

P1030713.jpg

Terry polishing off a turkey leg

Then we went to bugs life, it took me a but to long to realise it was underneath the tree! We had lunch in Africa, Curry at Tamu Tamu, I had the veg and tofu, which I thought was a bit bland. We had a 12.30 FP for lion king so we went there next, I love this show and highly recommend it, I was singing I just can’t wait to be king for the rest of the day! We then got a cinnamon roll and wondered around one of the trails, and it was the most crowded thing of the day actually.

We then took the wildlife express over to planet watch, which we never did when we were young. We patted some goats (which somehow reminded us of our cat!) then I really embraced my inner child and played head shoulders knees and toes with Chip n Dale. We were the only adults without kids, and my brother just stood back, but it was a cute little show/game, I don’t know if this has set times it happens or how often they do it but if you’ve got kids try and catch it, maybe ask a CM.

me12.jpg

The guy behind me clearly thinks I'm to old for this

Then we did a meet and greet with chip n dale, brining terry along, they played along, patting terry and trying to attack each other with him. They always do great meet and greets and are lots of fun!

terry8.jpg

P1030701.jpg

cnd2.jpg

We took the express back and terry happened to meet a bear in Africa

P1030702.jpg

Then we finished up at the boneyard (again, watching out for the little ones, but we just can’t resits a playground, and I love that the CM’s are fine with us being there). We were happy we’d done everything we wanted to, and it was around 2/3ish. We threw around a few ideas of what to do and agreed on giving HS another shot. This time it was much less crowded, thank goodness! We did Tower of terror first, which I actually really enjoyed, last time it was a bit much for me, but my thrill level has gone up since.

As we were exiting I was telling my brother about character palooza (which I had planned to do on Thursday) but as we looked over at the gates I noticed they were open, and it was on right at that moment! This day there was Minnie, Mary Poppins, Pocahontas, snow white, Aladdin and jasmine. We met Pocahontas (and Meko) and Snow white, who were both really great and spent lots of time with us. We also gave Minnie a quick hug on the way out, since there was no one with her.

P1030704.jpg

We then did Rock ‘n’ rollercoaster, standby sign said 20 minutes but I’d say it was only 10. I hadn’t done this before, I enjoyed it quiet a bit, the fast launch is great, it gets a little bumpy towards the end (but I’m super sensitive to bumpiness on rollercoasters). We did tower of terror again after then the great movie ride. We tried to meet hiro and baymax but the line was long and they were on break soon, so we meet the incredibles instead.

Frozone seemed to like my hat and unbirthday badge, I wouldn't have taken him for a mad hatter fan! After my brother split off and I decided to call it a day.

4th February 2015- How to tame the Mad Hatter

If you haven’t guessed from the hat I’ve been wearing everyday, The Mad Hatter is my favourite character, So this was a day I was particularly looking forward to, we were going to 1900 park fare for a late breakfast and then had left the day open, though we were fairly sure we wanted to go to MK. So after a but of a sleep in, I went to meet my brother at the bus stop for breakfast and….he wasn’t there… I text him…no response….. wait 10 minutes, still not there, call him, no answer! The bus arrives and there’s no way I’m missing breakfast so I get on and leave him a message saying I’m going. I took the bus to MK then monorail to GF. Once I got there I finally get hold of him he’s just woken up and not coming. I could have done the whole rest of the trip solo easy, but this breakfast was the one time I really wanted company! So the morning had barely started and I was feeling disanointed already (hint: if you’re looking for a good way to ruin a character breakfast, be disappointed going into it!). I tried to cheer up, I really did, but it just wasn’t my morning. It was REALLY crowded which I didn’t expect for late in the morning. I did get some cute pictures before:

me8.jpg

me9.jpg

They called me in and seated me out the pack, then asked me if I’d like to be moved to the main area where more of the characters were, I thought great, that will be more entertaining, but as it turned out, the characters had just gone through that area, and I’d pretty much finished eating before the first character even came along, I had to wait about 2 hours to get all 5, and it wasn’t that much more entertaining since I was behind some pot plants and couldn’t actually see them, I just heard the mad hatter yelling every few minutes, and I could have heard him from the moon so really I think moving wasn’t the best decision. Food wise, well I think I just picked the wrong things and my bad mood didn’t help.

The servers were all really nice to me but I couldn’t find them around when the characters were there to ask for photo’s. After almost an hour Tigger came round, gave me a cuddle, I told him it was sad my brother couldn’t make it since he bounced for a living (he works a a trampoline arena), the pooh came and gave me a cuddle, but that was it really (not that there was much more he could do really) Mary Poppins had a quick chat with me, Alice was lovely and really entertaining, and then, after two hours waiting for him…. The mad hatter almost skipped me! He was right there and my table was next and…he walked right on to the next table. I’m not proud of this, but I got a little sulky (really, it was just because I was having a bad morning, and probably a lack of sleep!). Thankfully (ish) as Hatter was sitting at the next table and looked back and saw me, then told the family he had to go back, he came back and noticed I was sulky, I think it put him off he certainly got a lot less loud suddenly (poor guy, putting up with a 22 year old acting like a 3 year old!). So there you have it, if you want to tame the mad hatter, throw a quiet tantrum. He did ask me if I wanted to picture and found someone to take it:

P1030712.jpg

So all in all it would be fair to say that I didn’t enjoy my character breakfast, but that was my responsibility for being stuck in a bad mood. I look back now and laugh at that morning, actually by the next morning I was already looking back and laughing. I will try it again next time, but ensuring I’m in a more enthusiastic, friendly mood, and being prepared to go solo.

By the time I got to MK and meet up with my brother it must have been around 11, we rode haunted mansion, and I believe at some point during the day splash mountain (which I love! We sung along of course!), jungle cruise and big thunder. A word of caution for big thunder, if your small or a child, don’t sit next to someone larger than you, the lap bar won’t go down far enough and you’ll be flung around all over the place, I spent half the ride trying to pull my ear off my brothers shoulder and the other trying not to fly out the other side!

My brother paid for my lunch as an apology for not getting up for breakfast, and put up with me dragging him to meet the Tremaines, Merida and the Tweedles (he’s not really into characters, he just likes to ride). I’m not sure in what order we did them, but the Tweedles were really fun and their minder was also really nice, one of them took Terry off my arm and tried to bite the other’s nose off with him, they also admired my hat:

P1030715.jpg

I don’t know why but I’m always a bit, well, not disappointed by Merida but not super impressed with her, I guess when I’ve met her she wasn’t as bubbly as I expect her to be, but she was nice and we talked about the possibility of her mum letting wear a hat like mine:

P1030727.jpg

The Tremaine’s were so amazing, and completely made up for the disappointment of the morning. They spent ages with me, and somehow they manage to be bad guys and really nice at the same time! Anastasia was determined to have my hat, or at least one of the prongs off of it, when I told her it was mine and she couldn’t have it she tried to bargain for half of it:

anas2.jpg

She also searched for something my magnetic frying pan necklace would stick to, unfortunately we couldn’t find anything, a few days later I discovered that it stuck to my unbirthday badge!:

anas1.jpg

Here she is trying to get it to stick to a key hole.

P1030718.jpg

I’m pretty sure when my brother left I decided to head back to the hotel and have a rest, I also had a business back home I’d been somewhat neglecting and thus work that needed catching up on. I did go for an evening swim, which I’d been wanting to do, despite being winter the pool was heated and really nice (it was just getting back to the room that was the cold bit!).

5th February 2015- She must be mad, look at her shoes!

This morning I went into MK for the extra magic hour solo. It was really nice to go in by myself actually. I watched the opening show (which I didn’t care for as a child but now LOVE) then just walked around for a bit.

P1030732.jpg

P1030749.jpg

Pluto on his morning walk (on a bin!)

I took about 50 photo’s of the teacups, they’re so fun to photograph and the area was pretty quiet, I also witness something adorable but it shall remain a secret.

P1030761.jpg

So quiet!

I think I then went on it’s a small world, which we normally avoid like the plaque, but I thought I’d ride it this time, which reminded me why we normally avoid it! I think I also went on the speedway, which I was glad to find I could drive with much more ease then when I last tried!

I was walking past the tea cups and noticed the white rabbit out with Alice so I got in line, I spoke to a nice photopass photographer while waiting. Alice was the only person all holiday to notice my shoes:

P1030784.jpg

She thought her and the white rabbit should be on the matching side of my shoes, so they switched places:

P1030787.jpg

But then she said she didn’t like standing on that side, since she always stands on the other one, so we tried this:

P1030789.jpg

Then this:

P1030790.jpg

I asked her if I had to walk around like that all day, she said that would be difficult and we both gave it a try, whilst it was indeed difficult it was also pretty funny!

Then I headed over to meet Rapunzel and Cinderella, it was around 9am by this time and the line was only 20 minutes. Rapunzel asked if I had run into any roughians or thugs, I said I hadn’t but I did have my frying pan (necklace) in case:

rap1.jpg

Here she is admiring my necklace, she said Pascal had one the same size

P1030793.jpg

rap2.jpg

The character minder was lovely and came over with me to Cinderella so I had someone to take a photo. Normally I wouldn’t bother with Cinderella, but I really wanted to meet Rapunzel and they meet In the same building and all so I thought I might as well say hi. She was really lovely:

cind1.jpg

Here we are disusing the colour of my jacket, which she (and everyone else I talk to) thought was blue, but I really do see it as purple!

I told her I had met her step mother and sister yesterday, she asked if they were nice to me and said they had been practising their manners.

P1030795.jpg

P1030796.jpg

Funnily enough, on my way out from meeting Cinderella, I bumped right into Lady Tremaine and Anastasia on their way to their M&G, they remembered me and stopped to say hello, Anastasia still wanted my hat!

I think I maybe did one other ride but I can’t remember what. I hopped over to Hollywood studios, rode star tours (which I liked more than I thought I would have, I’m not good with motion simulators) then met up with my brother for lunch, which we had booked at 50’s prime time café. We really enjoyed eating there, our server was great. You have to ‘do the chores’ before you can eat (set the plates on your table) and you’ll get told off for having your elbow on the table (even if your not eating!) but in a nice way ‘your elbows are on the table princess’. The food was really nice, we shared onion rings, my brother had the fried chicken and I had the spaghetti and veg meatballs. My brother ordered desert, which he couldn’t finish, not even half of it! I’ve never seen him leave food behind!

P1030801.jpg

P1030808.jpg

We then had a FP for toy story, tried to meet hiro and baymax again with no luck, did rock n rollercoaster in single rider, then had a FP for tower of terror. We did character pooloza again, but the character’s weren’t as interesting this day:

P1030811.jpg

P1030815.jpg

P1030813.jpg

We did a bit of shopping then went back to the resort, where I was delighted to find my mousekeeper had created a window display for me:

P1030817.jpg

Which was really nice since it must have been evident there was just one adult in the room.

My brother went off on his own, I had a quick rest then headed back to MK for the evening.

P1030819.jpg

I saw the electric light parade, where Tinkerbell noticed my hat and singled to me, then alice saw me and remembered me from the morning, giving me a little shout out from her float:

Then I saw the fireworks from frontierland, I couldn’t see everything from there but it was really quiet which made it a nice place to watch from (and yes, I cried!) Then I got right onto jungle cruise and pirates with no wait, there was still 20 minutes left till park close, but I decided to head out, the bus stop was super crowded, but they handled it well, sending in bus after bus, I think I even managed to get a seat! I think I forgot to mention that by this point WDW had been taken over by cheer leading teams, particularly the all star resorts, it was making getting a seat on the bus difficult!

6th February 2015- Alice AGAIN!

This was our originally designated MK day, even though we’d covered a lot of it, it’s still my favourite park, and we had FP’s booked, so we headed off in time for the opening show! This morning we found out apparently you’re not allowed to skip in MK (disappointed! I read running was a no but skipping and frolicking was ok!) We ended up meeting Alice (yes, again, that’s 4 times for those counting!) first. We got some really nice pics from this M&G:

alice2.jpg

Mr. White rabbit was particularly lovely this morning

P1030850.jpg

My watch is also 2 days slow (really, it's broken!)

P1030851.jpg

I do love how they look like they're conversing

alice3.jpg

And now it appears Mr. white rabbit said something funny, though I believe it was me

alice4.jpg

We had a FP for seven dwarfs mine train next. We enjoyed this but both being thrill seekers felt like it should have had more ‘thill’ to it, especially for all the hype and long queue! (which we didn’t have to worry about with a FP, it was maybe a 5 min wait, make sure you get one if you want to go on this ride! Stand by was around an hour). We then did the teacups (which I feel like a I should say I love, but I’m really not good with spinning, but I love looking at them!) then the carousel (since we never did it as kids) . We had FP’s for peter pan and space mountain, so we did those as well. I was disappointed with SM, I found it to bumpy and just kept hitting my head!

P1030858.jpg

We hummed the William tell overture the whole ride, I'm not sure but I think we tied for first place...or last

P1030862.jpg

Also got a picture here, which I'd been wanting to do

At some point we met Peter Pan, I’m not sure why since I generally find him annoying! He couldn’t understand why’d I’d like the mad hatter and Wonderland better than Neverland:

P1030872.jpg

We then split up and I went to get lunch (a small one at the golden oak outpost, nice fries but best as a snack, very small indeed!). I rode the railroad then at some point during the afternoon did Winnie the pooh, Dumbo (which I’d also never done as a child), buzz and the people mover. Then I hopped over to Epcot in the hope of eating and maybe meeting a few last characters. Unfortunately all the character’s had pretty long lines, as did the food! I had dinner at around 4.45pm and had to wait half an hour (according to my planning, it wasn’t supposed to be that crowded today). I considered doing something with my evening, but I’m really not a night time person, so despite it being my last park day I called it quits by 6pm.

Thanks so much for sharing!!! I loved your outfits so much!!

Did you find the walk between Epcot and DHS to be too far?

Thanks so much for sharing!!! I loved your outfits so much!!

Did you find the walk between Epcot and DHS to be too far?

Why thankyou!
We actually took the ferry between epcot and DHS, when i did research it looked like a long walk and it seemed like it would be from the ferry, not un do-able, I'm guessing it would take 30-45 mins to walk it, i found taking the ferry a really nice option :-)

7th February 2015- The last day

There's not a lot to tell about our last day, but i'll do a little report all the same. We had planned DTD for this day, i considered going to MK for 2 or so hours in the morning, and i woke up in time, but i thought I'd probably been there enough, and there was a decent chance I'd just end up bugging Alice again! So i tried to sleep in, but my body was just so accustomed to early starts by this point! I probably regret not going somewhere for breakfast this morning, i had wanted to go to rainforest café at AK or the Polynesian, but by this point all i could think was 'oh no, i have to leave today' and it created this strange silent tantrum almost of, if i have to go then i don't want to do anything. It was very strange and hard to explain! So we ate at the resort, left our bags and got on the bus to DTD. Here's our last day faces:

P1030877.jpg

P1030876.jpg

I had budgeted incredibly well, and had $600 to spare by the end of the week (yes, really, i could hardly believe it myself!). I could easily have spent it all on AIW tea cups and pots, but that would have been near pointless since i don't actually drink tea! I did buy a few bits and pieces, mostly AIW stuff, one or two Rapunzel items. I'm not normally a shopper but as i told my brother while we walked around DTD, it's like someone made this place with all the things i like just for me to buy :P

We went to T-rex for lunch. I really enjoyed this place, we'd eaten at rainforest café before, i have to say i think the theming is a but more detailed than rainforest, i enjoy both but i think T-rex a bit more. Every half an hour or so they have a meteor shower, which is fun the first time but after that i just makes talking kind of hard! We really enjoyed our food, i think i had a burger, not sure what my brother had. I know we had desert but i don't remember what, i remember it being nice though!

P1030878.jpg

Say cheese!

We thought about going to Disneyquest or putt putt, but we desperately needed to do laundry and rest! So we went back, collected our bags and ordered a taxi (where for some reason there was a hula hoop lying around, i tried to show some lady's how to use it, then one of the CM's noticed my shoes, we had a brief conversation about them, which ended with her sighing 'ah, kids' to another CM, which i found funny because she was probably not that much older than me!) and off we went to our next destination.

So to finish up, I had a really amazing time, but think that for everything i wanted to do- one week was not enough, and i have no hesitations booking for 2 weeks next time, be it solo or with others. I think next time I'd like to leave a few days at the start of the holiday to just relax, the first week and a half of the holiday my body was adjusting to the new time zone and i just wasn't hungry and couldn't stay up past 9pm for the most part! I really loved just wondering around the parks, particularly MK, just enjoying the atmosphere and witnessing magic happen, and my next trip will overall be more relaxed. I didn't mind doing lot of planning and the new FP+ system, i have to say i think i got it pretty down pat! I think the best way to tackle the park is plan for the morning then relax and be spontaneous in the afternoon, possibly leaving a morning to be relaxed in MK, it's so nice there in the morning if you're not rushing around!

Great TR!! I know what you mean though - I'd love to spend two weeks there...long enough to do some lesser known stuff and take in the details without rushing around. So cool that Alice remembered you and mentioned you!
