is there any shoe out there comparable to Teva in support but NOT in cost? I'll spend the $$ if I have to, but it is an awful lot to shell out for two pairs of sandals. (I would like to buy a pair for both my son and I.) I love the Teva Tirra sandals and a couple other styles but the $70 price tag is making me cringe.

I have had Rafters sandals before and I find them to be very comfy. Now I mainly stick to Teva's though. I'm not sure where you live, but if you have a Marshall's, Nordstram Rack, or an Outlet Mall nearby then you can often find teva's there for a decent price. Also depending on the size of your foot you may be able to order a kids sized pair of teva's and save a little money. I'm a size 8 and can usually order a kid's 6.

Go with the Teva "mush" flip flops. They are awesome! I have the Teva sandals and they sit in my closet. Flip flops $21.99, sandals $70...

Sierra Trading Post always has the older Teva sandals at good discounts (such as the previous year's styles). You might try looking for something similar if you can't get a good deal on that exact style. That being said I have the Teva Dozers that I paid about $65 for 2 years ago and they were worth every cent that I paid for them.

Off Broadway also sells Teva sandals and flipflops.

I agree 100%....don't try to cut corners on your feet. I spent a summer in a pair of cute, cheap hard sandals from Kmart one summer. I had heel pain for months afterwards. After the doctor visits, physical therapy, and custom insoles those cheap sandals cost me a whole lot more $$!

Yes, $70 is a lot for sandals, but if you take care of them you should get 2+ years out of them.

ITA that the Teva's are worth it. I can walk around a park all day in them, and not hurt!! For me, that's a miracle. The other pair of shoes I take is the Sketchers shape ups. Those are comfy too. I have to wear AFO braces on my legs, and those are even comfy in the sketchers.

I love Land's End shoes but my mom loves her Skechers. She volunteers at triathlons all day long where a lot of people wear Tevas and they talk about how they smell after a while. Her Sketchers don't smell.

check out 6pm.com I got my Teva mush flip flops for 12$
