I know about Silver Lake, but would anyone recommend Silver Points??

Has anyone stayed there? I think I remember reading that staying at SL would be ok, but not SP. Is that right??

I don't think I ever see 3 bed. for Silver lakes, only Silver Points?? I know they are on the same property.

I am looking into a 3 bed. on Skyauction for next trip. Thought I might invite mom along. I know 3 bedrooms come up on RSG auctions (mostly Cypress Pointe and Silver Points). I thought the location of SP would be great.

What do you think??

silver lake silver points is the newest section of Silver Lake....supposedly well done sharing the amenities of silver lake

got a feeling this must be excess developer inventory which we may not see once sales are better

right now they have the 3 bedroom on skyauction ( not just RSG ) but individual auctions ....the one i have been seeing is for december 3 2004

the auction did not go one day and just yesterday it went for 1$

do a search on "silver lake" to bring up the "individual auctions"

I believe that the buildings to the rear of the property is the Siver Points section, right??? They hae a gate that opens directly onto Sherbeth Rd, although the gaste was not open yet when I was there in May (might be now).

If it is, they sure looked nice from the outside and are supposedly nicer on the inside (no mirrors everywhere! ). It deosn't ahve a seperate pool, etc, that I know of.

Only thing was since the Sherbeth gate was not open, I could not figure out how you got over there! I was staying in building 600 at SL. There was a fence between Building 700 and the high rise next to the pool, so you couldn't goet there that way.

do you happen to know which buildings are the "Silver Points" section? I have to call early next week to let the resort know we are coming on Saturday instead of Friday, and I didn't know if I should specifically ask for one of those buildings, even though my confirmation is at Silver Points.

Has anyone seen a floorplan? I think its odd that skyauction refers to the 3 bedroom suite only having a "partial" kitchen.

pretty sure that is "mistyped"... we have our guest certificate for the rescheduled stay in december and it says Kitchen F on it

by the way, an auction just went again for december 3. 2004 for 1$

they have another one up there now finishes 9/22/2004 at 3:00pm

they also have lsitings on RSG for dec 3rd and 10th, the RSG have been all over the map lately with bids....anywhere from 33 to 73 on RSG auctions within the last couple weeks but mostly in the mid 50's

Thanks, I've been checking it out. My "dream" is for a 3 bedroom with Dec 5th checkin of which I'd use 4 or 5 nights. So close .....

and why not a dec 5 checkin for 5 nights at silver lake silver points......

since you could call the resort and tell them you would be checking in LATE..... 5 nights for 211$ where can you get a three bedroom tax included for 42.20$ per night .....

it should show up the 3 bedroom for silver lake which ends at 3 pm today

Sort of what I was planning but I need Dec 5th instead of Dec 3rd. My planned dates to visit are Dec 8th-12th which would work for a Dec 5th checkin (where I don't show until Dec 7th or 8th). Moving it up would mean missing more school days not to mention the PS arrangements I've made. Thanks for all the info.

Madge, I don't know building numbers for the Silver Points section. I just know they were the yellow ones . Sorry I can't help you w/ that! If your confirmation is Silver Points, I would try to stay there, even though it's further away from the pool. I believe all those buildings have elevators. My building in SL did not have one, nor did it have a patio.

try to stay there? even though my confirmation says Silver Points, they might put me in the older units? I booked SL specifically because it was in the newer section....

I have to call Monday or Tuesday to let the resort know we aren't coming until Saturday (we have a Fri week) and I'm going to see if they will tell me what building we are in.

is this a no smoking resort?

Just grabbed a skyauction.com week long deal for a 3 bedroom at Silver Lakes Silver Points for $236 for the entire week! Even if we only stay the planned 4 nights for our trip...that amounts to only $59/night!!!

It was a toss up between All Star (on-site), CPGV or this...Anyone think I made a bad choice?

Weegl, I think you got an awesome deal, though the Silver Points section is so new that I haven't seen any reviews on it yet...but a 3 bedroom that close to WDW, at that rate...WOW!! Be sure to post a report on Silver Points when you return!!

We plan on checking in on 12/3 as offered on skyauction. I actually have read a couple reviews on the Silver Points section and all indications are that it is superior to the original section....they even have plasma large screen tv's in them!

I'll share my observations on the resort when we get back...I feel like I won the lottery with the rate that we got. Let's hope I feel the same way after we get there!

Hey, where are the reviews of the Silver Points section? Just curious. Have you found out square footage for 3 bedroom at Silver points? B/c auction says sleeps 10, I assumed it corresponded to the 3 bedroom CONDO on the Silver Lakes site which lists square footage between 1500-1835. It would be nice to have more specific Silver Points information but I can't seem to get them to respond to email or voicemail message when I called. Thanks.

Yea, I think their site is kind of confusing. The auction says Silver Points, 3 bedroom, sleeps 10. Then their site says that it's the condo that sleeps 10. The villa sleeps 12. I thought the villas were at Silver Points and the condos at Silver Lake. Maybe it's the opposite. Ugggghhhh! So confusing.

Could an owner help us out?? I thought for sure I read something on this board from an owner at SL.

This is why I am waiting (impatiently) for a review of this place. I can't figure it out.
