I Kicked it I Played it and now..Wheeling & Dealing at the WL final 9/9 p87/88

Wow those are some amazing pictures of the animals! I especially love the giraffe ones! :lovestruc I can never get a good picture of the lion either, he's always sleeping! Or he's just too far away! :cool1:

I agree with you about the Safari, I love it, it's really only one of the reasons I go to AK! We skipped it when we were there in May since we didn't have a lot of AK time, but I will definitely do it again in November! :)

I LOVE your pictures from your walk from Asia to Africa...I don't know how you notice these things! I definitely have to slow down and appreciate the details more!

Great safari pictures and you saw monkeys on Monkey Point! I wonder if we were the same day because this was the first trip I have EVER seen them out.

What setting on your camera makes that circle around the photos? I am so camera defective, I've never taken the time to figure out what my camera can can't do.

I can honestly say, those are the best safari pictures I have ever seen....that's some camera girl, and some great photography skills....I am VERY impressed....thanks so much for sharing.

I cannot wait to see if you got to see the baby gorilla:cutie:

:woohoo: for scoring a front seat on the safari. That's our favorite place to sit so we usually ask if we can wait for the front row.

The pictures are, of course, wonderful!

I'm guessing you saw the baby gorilla and hoping you have some great pics to share! :goodvibes

I have seen several really good lion pictures on the TR boards lately, so I am very, very jealous. No matter how much cropping I did I still couldn't make the lion sit up. :rotfl:

Is this new news? November, eh? Nice! Yes - def go on safari in November. Great weather!

I used to be one of the most inattentive to detail type person. Than I came to the boards and starting viewing other people's pictures. I realized how much I was missing, so I started to look at the parks in small pieces instead of giant scenes. It's easy to do once you change your perspective.

You know - I never realized I had never seen the Monkeys before. But they sure were there.

The circle around the pictures is actually something that is on iphoto on my computer. It is one of the editing effects. Truth be known, I think I use it too much, but its fun.

I really don't know how to use my camera correctly. I am a total photography imposter, but one of these days I am going to take a class.

Thanks! The camera really does do all the work and its so fun and easy to use. I really do love this camera. It's definitely taken my pictures to a new level.

Let me just say that the baby gorilla will be worth waiting for.

That front seat was da bomb! I am definitely spoiled now. Perfect view!

As far as the baby gorilla - you know me far too well Dawn! I can't keep a secret at all!

Wow! Those are the absolute best safari pictures I have ever seen. I love the ones of the giraffes--my all time favorite animal in the world. They are simply spectacular.

:worship::worship::worship: PHENOMENAL safari pictures. Wow. Wow. Wow. :worship::worship::worship:

Just gorgeous. What great shots you got. You are quite a talent, Miss Mary Ellen!

Somehow I always end up on the "wrong side" of the jeep to see what's worth seeing. Your pictures are better than anything I've seen with my own two eyes!

Overall, all your AK pictures convince me that I need to spend more time exploring in this park!

Okay It's Official...you are totally coming along as my trip photographer...LOL :thumbsup2 What amazing pictures of the safari!! Simply gorgeous Mary Ellen!!!!

Ditto....I was just thinking the EXACT same thing. Breathtaking! Thank you for sharing, MEK!

Gorgeous Gorgeous pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That Giraffe shot is so cool! You should frame it :goodvibes And Devine!

I'll be echoing what so many others have already said -- those safari pictures are absolutely awesome!!! What a great way to start my Sunday morning -- coffee and a wonderful safari ride! :goodvibes

Love Love Love your safari pics  Some of those animal backsides look familiar :rolleyes1

I can't believe they asked if you would rather have the back row or front row! My Dad rode in the back on our trip in 2008 and said it was bumpier than the real safaris he went on in Africa!

You tease! I'm betting you have fabulous pics of the baby gorilla and are holding out on us to make sure you get the post count you want ;)

What a great way to start my Sunday morning! Absolutely fabulous pictures Mary Ellen!

I completely agree with you on the back row - we sat there once and I thought my fillings were going to rattle out! If I'm ever directed to the back row again I'll be waiting for the next vehicle ;)

Can't wait to see your pics of the baby gorilla!!

Wonderful safari pictures. It seems to be a theme on the DIS lately of animal backside pictures. :lmao:

I am going to add my two cents.
Beautiful safari pics. Great!:thumbsup2
Can't wait to see what you captured of the baby gorilla. :)

Thanks! I am so glad you enjoyed them. I have so many safari pics from previous trips, but it was like seeing it for the first time when I took these new pics!

Aw Shucks! Thanks C. I serious think I just got lucky with a great seat and no bounce.

Actually my pictures turned out better than what I actually remember seeing on the safari! :rotfl: That's probably because I was too busy taking pics to actually stop and enjoy the safari.

I am definitely a big advocated of lots of AK time. I could easier spend two days there. People may think I am crazy, but I love that place. Because all my recent trips have been so short I feel like I never get enough time there (or at any of the parks for that matter).

Okay It's Official...you are totally coming along as my trip photographer...LOL :thumbsup2 What amazing pictures of the safari!! Simply gorgeous Mary Ellen!!!!

 What a great job that would be. I would love being someone's personal PP photographer. No complaints there. :thumbsup2

Thanks Joan! I am really glad everyone is enjoying the pictures. Ya know - we didn't have all the antics you Dismoms had, so I have to make up for it with pictures! :rolleyes1

Gorgeous Gorgeous pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That Giraffe shot is so cool! You should frame it :goodvibes And Devine!

Thanks Cynthia - Maybe I will frame it. I still dont know why that giraffe looks larger than life. It's crazy!

I'll be echoing what so many others have already said -- those safari pictures are absolutely awesome!!! What a great way to start my Sunday morning -- coffee and a wonderful safari ride! :goodvibes

Thanks CP! I agree that coffee and the Dis go together on ANY morning! And now you have free time to Dis for the summer - lucky girl!

Love Love Love your safari pics  Some of those animal backsides look familiar :rolleyes1

thanks Katie! Well I love your HM pics. They are stellar.

The back seat is the WORST. I have had it the last two trips. It's insanely bumpy!

Thanks Michelle! So glad you like the pics!

Now that I know that Dawn always requests the front row, that is going to be my plan from now own! NO MORE BACK ROW - EVER!!!!!!!!

Baby G coming in the next post!

Wonderful safari pictures. It seems to be a theme on the DIS lately of animal backside pictures. :lmao:

Thanks LL! I think its a conspiracy between the safari animals. They are sick and tired of so many visitors. Its their way of saying, "Hmmmmmpppfffhhhhhh".

I am going to add my two cents.
Beautiful safari pics. Great!:thumbsup2
Can't wait to see what you captured of the baby gorilla. :)

So glad you enjoyed the pictures! Those baby G pictures are coming up very soon! :thumbsup2
