Mary Ellen, they are ALL spectacular. But I would have to say the above one is my favorite. And I definitely think you should enter the contest. :)

Nice encounter with De Vine.
We still have never met her - maybe we'll make it a point in January...

Sorry For the Delay in Responding...... We lost power last night around 7:30pm right as I was getting ready to respond. BAD thunderstorm. Power did come on until 3:30am!

Great pictures of Devine, even though I find her epically creepy :scared1:

I know what you mean, but I thought this Da Vine was beautiful. Something in her facial features is just so beautiful! I've never seen her face so close. She certainly wasn't camera shy.

I had a feeling that you were ran across Devine! Beautiful pictures! I can't pick a favorite, either -- they are all so great! You should definitely enter them in one of the photography board contests! :thumbsup2

I am so thrilled I found her. We saw her in September, too. But she really exposed herself to me this trip. I think I will pick one for the photography boards contests when I am not spending all my free time on the TR boards!

WOW! I'm glad I stayed up to see your Devine pictures!
Just beautiful! The artistry of her and of your pictures really shows.
I don't think I could pick a favorite, but I like the up close ones and the effects you did on them.

Thanks Mndisneygirl! I am so glad you like the pictures. I truly just got really lucky because she was really hamming it up with her poses and the camera can take such a quick succession of pics. Editing was fun!

I'm here, hope I'm not too late!! Ok, going back to read from the beginning! :yay: -Stace

:welcome: CamsmomE! Thanks for joining in! Glad to have you along for the read!

Those are simply stunning Mary Ellen! :worship::worship::worship:

I don't know that I can pick a favorite, but I really love these two

Thanks Michelle! I appreciate you helping me narrow down my choices. I really like both of those as well, so if I enter one into a photography board contest, I will use one of those!

Is this a new angle on the Dino ride photo? It looks new to me, and I like it a lot better!

Fabulous shots of Devine; they look so professional! :thumbsup2

I really didn't notice that it was a new angle, so props to you for you good observational skills!!!!!!!!!

Glad you like the Devine pictures!

Gorgeous pics of Devine. I've never seen pictures of her so close up before.

Thanks! I totally lucked out on getting those shots. I will probably never get that lucky again!

I have a Donald's breakfast booked as an OPPs coming up. I suspect mine might go the same way yours did but I'm not willing to give it up just yet.

I hear ya'. I didn't want to give mine up either. Next time I think I will do an early am (before park opening) ADR. That should get me to the park early at least!

You also reminded me I should make an effort to see Nemo again. I always make sure to see the Lion King but haven't seen Nemo in a couple of years. Nor have I seen Cirque in a couple of years either but I think since Nemo is the cheaper option of the two I'll stick with that one this year. I'm already shelling out extra money for the dance competition fees (the reason behind the trip or at least the reason I tell non-disers about) and we'll be watching plenty of fab performing at the competition.

Hmmmm ....let's see.....Cirque for $70 (or so) VS. Nemo for free. Easy choice. I know that any competition out of town is bound to be expensive. How fortunate that you are going to one of your favorite places. It makes it a lot easier to spend that money. I hope the competition goes really well - you must be getting so excited now!!!!!!!

They did a temporary change of the camera position so they could refurb the big scary dino at the end. I think it's been changed back to the right side now.

Interesting! I am glad someone knows all these little photo factoids! :worship: Obviously, I was oblivious to the whole thing!

:worship: Absolutely gorgeous pictures!

They are all contest worthy! Go for it! :thumbsup2

Thanks Dawn! Like I said, I just got totally lucky! That's what is so great about the camera upgrade. If you end up in a position to take some good photos (good subject matter), the camera just does the work.

So Sorry I can't do all my responses now. That power outage threw me for a loop. I was so worried I was going to be looking for a place to take a shower this morning!!!!! So, I gotta get ready for work now. I will be back later with more responses!!!!!!

MEK - pics really were great!!

Sorry to hear of your loss of power, that storm was really strong. Although, we were very happy to see some rain, but no cooling down today!

Looking forward to reading more!

Hello! I've just read through all your trip reports (over the past few days of course) and have wandered over here to catch up on this one! I love reading your reports, they are so entertaining! All your picture's of Kidani in one of your others was very helpful as we are having our first stay there in a couple weeks!

So just letting you know I'm along for the ride!

Also, I know from reading your past reports that you've stayed at both CBR and CSR and if you wouldn't mind me asking, which did you enjoy more? We are hopefully planning a trip for next year and I'm really torn!

Fabulous pictures of DeVine!!!!!! WOW!!! She's the same one I saw a few years ago and she's just stunning!

Wow! Great pictures!! I have never seen DeVine... that must be so cool! I agree, tough to pick a favorite and all worthy of a contest. Go for it!

Oh you MUST find Devine during your next visit. She is just so darn cool. But I think it must be hot in that costume!

What amazing pictures of both the Tree of Life and of Devine!! She is just gorgeous and those pictures you got are priceless WOW!!!!! And the TOL, can you just come and take pictures for me on the next trip I take LOL!!!!!

Thanks Jen! If you want to take me along for your personal photographer on your next trip, then I am so THERE!

These are wonderful! you definitely have a chance at that photo contest! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the vote of support Dreameratheart!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Great, Great, GREAT pictures of Devine. She is so beautiful.

Thanks! I agree - she is just gorgeous! I could stare at her all day.

Mary Ellen, they are ALL spectacular. But I would have to say the above one is my favorite. And I definitely think you should enter the contest. :)

I really like that one, too. Thanks for helping me make my decision!

Cool;
thanks!

Isn't it great to know such well informed Dis'ers. :wizard:

Nice encounter with De Vine.
We still have never met her - maybe we'll make it a point in January...

You are the KING of character meets and yet you have never seen De vine! That is hard to believe.

Shocker will have fun with this statement! :lmao:

:rotfl2: You are so right!

Thanks - glad you liked them.

I know we needed the rain, but losing the power was a bit of a pain. I guess I should try to get some laundry done since I missed out last night! :rolleyes1

:welcome: trinaweena!!!!!! I am so glad to have you following along.

How exciting - you are going to LOVE Kidani. Trust me - my pics don't even begin to show how amazing the place is.

CBR vs CSR....hmmmmmm.....I think most people prefer CSR. CSR does have queen beds, so that's definitely a consideration.

I really like them both and if someone gave me a choice of which one I wanted to go to right now, I would probably pick CSR because I only stayed there two nights and the ground are beautiful. Although, CBR is definitely near and dear to my heart because we spent our second on-night trip there,

Fabulous pictures of DeVine!!!!!! WOW!!! She's the same one I saw a few years ago and she's just stunning!

Melissa - stunning IS the perfect word for her.

Your pictures of Devine are just beautiful and totally worthy of entry into a contest.

My DH and I ran into her in September. It is amazing how she can be so close to so many people and her movements are like poetry. She is so graceful and elegant in her movements. princess:

FINALLY all caught up again. Enjoying everything about your report, Mary Ellen! Beautiful pics of DaVine/Devine....I totally missed her this trip. Think it had something to do with sipping some chocolate milk or something like that! :rolleyes1
Thanks for the heads up on nilla's trip report....LOL funny! I really get this guy....he could be my little brother Joe!! :lmao:
I also have never seen Nemo in AK and will make this a must see on our next family trip....Thanks for these great photos too!:worship:
Oh, and the flesh colored fanny pack...found it on pg. 19 today...OMG...I don't know whether to laugh or vomit!!!....:confused3
Keep it coming!!!

She is totally amazing. I just couldn't believe how wonderful this deVine was. She was really gorgeous. I am so glad you like the pictures.

I just love it when she exposes herself to me as well!

Denise, You're Right! It's already starting! :rotfl:

CAMO-BK.jpg

So many choices, but I figured I better keep it clean! :cool1:

Why? Aren't you getting ready to run off to Disney World , again!!!!! When you come back you can just change your screen name! Sorry - Just Kidding - it just wouldn't be the same with Shocker on these boards.

Plus - I don't want you posting any risque. Wigd would not be happy!

So that chocolate milk really can blur your vision?????? You don't say?

Nilla is great, isn't he?

I am glad you like all the pics and I definitely think you should see Nemo. It's great! :thumbsup2

OMG - I almost forgot about the flesh colored fanny pack. Laugh or vomit! Well put! :rotfl: That Shocker!!!!

Congrats to Jasmine! :woohoo: Somedays its hard to stay up to date on Dis-ing, isn't it? I am sitting here with about 5 loads of laundry to do, so I know real life is calling.

I am a little slow with updates this week, so I hope to have one up tonight.

Glad you enjoyed the Da Vine pics! I was just reading someone else's TR who had pictures of the same DaVine. She's a beauty!

After my wonderful photo op with DaVine and my OK lunch at Y&Y CS the troops rallied and we set forth for our 2 week Safari.

One more walk from Asia to Africa presented me with more photo-ops.......

The FP return line for Safari was fairly long. Apparently everyone had the same idea as us - get your FP before lunch and return after lunch. No worries, the line started to move and we were back on track! The couple in front of me had the two cutest daughters. And they had the coolest stroller I have ever seen. It looked like a cross between a regular side-by-side stroller and a scaled down jogging stroller. It was bright red and had all types of pockets and gadgets. I asked the woman if it was easy to transport around and she said YES - greatest stroller ever. She clearly had a British accent so I suspect if you want one of these beauties you have to cross the pond to find one.

As Nilla would say, I was trying for an "artiste" shot here:

IMG_3654.jpg

Obviously we weren't the only ones on this Safari:

IMG_3658.jpg

When we loaded our vehicle we were actually asked if we wanted the front or the back row....DOH! Front row for sure. I don't know if you've ever ridden in the back but it is not conducive to great pictures. It's more like a challenge test to see how well you can hang onto your camera without crashing it into your neighbor's head. I was stoked to get the front row.

IMG_3664.jpg

What a big beak you have.....

IMG_3668.jpg

Is this not the strangest expression you have ever seen on an alligator's face:

How Does He keep his head up?????

At one point in the ride I mentioned to Cathy and Chuck that I thought Safari was the best themed, most comprehensive attraction in all of the four parks. There is really nothing else like it. The amount of time, expense, and upkeep that goes into this attraction is unbelievable. Plus it's alive. Always changing....never the same twice.

The CM overheard what I said and told me he wholeheartedly agreed. He also told me the the baby gorilla was just released to the public a few days ago. I had no idea. So my complement of the attraction was awarded by a very important piece of information, because I was about to see that baby. But not yet - I still had plenty of other sights to see......

What's up with the rear end views?????

IMG_3717.jpg

OK - I LOVE this shot because the giraffe looks like he is larger than life mutant and that tree looks like a scrub. I swear I did NOT see a 50 ft giraffe on my safari.

IMG_3734.jpg

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling....Keep those jeeps A'Rollin:

IMG_3735.jpg

Note the baby rhino:

IMG_3738.jpg

How cute is he????? Even his back side is cute!

IMG_3740.jpg

Off to find the elusive lion......

IMG_3745.jpg

Oh Brother - I never get a good picture of the lion. Perhaps its because I always go on safari in the afternoon and its hot. And what does any cat (wild or domestic) do in the heat of the day? Why nap, of course.

Perhaps someone could lend me an upright picture of the lion because this picture brings new light to the phrase "flat as a pancake"

One more feathered friend's back side before we arrive at our final destination:

IMG_3755.jpg

IMG_3756.jpg

We thanked our driver because he truly was a gem. Then we followed the other weary travelers down the Pagani Trail.
