I Kicked it I Played it and now..Wheeling & Dealing at the WL final 9/9 p87/88

Holy moly! I'm super late for the party but I will catch up!!!!! Just scanning through your pics are mind blowingly fabulous!!!!! Love it!!

Wow, Mary Ellen! That picture of Germany is just gorgeous!!! :lovestruc

Denny, Denny, Denny! :sad2: I feel your pain -- sometimes I feel like I must just be talking to myself.

What a great view of Illuminations! I am so happy you enjoyed your dinner at Rose and Crown -- we really liked it there, too, when we ate there last summer.

Great updates! Your pictures are awesome.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

When it comes to picture taking, I think our husbands must be related. :lmao:

What a great way to spend an evening, dinner at a great restaurant (I have eaten at R & C three times and have loved it every single time....AMAZING food and service) and Illuminations!!!

Hmmmm...sounds like we are going to get a few more interesting stories involving Denny coming up soon!!!

Loved the pictures!

what a great dining review! You make me want to make a reservation there!!!

And I love the souvenir glass.....

I can never get excited about the menu but generally the reviews seem good and talk about bang for the buck on the ambiance with illuminations! It really does make me want to reconsider but the kids ranked it pretty far down on the list so I best stay away.

Not the evil D...oh no!

OMGosh, great update!!! My favorite resort. My favorite fireworks show and lucky you getting the R&C outdoor seating. Love this! You lived my perfect Disney evening!

We have the 7:35 seating scheduled for our arrival night in July.

Great pictures - how lucky were you to get that table!!! So worth waiting for.
Your dinner looked good too. I've never been to R&C - wasn't sure the menu appealed to me - but that did. Unless that's what caused your evil D to return. Then I may rethink going there! HA!

Way to go shocker! Airheads unite! Someone out there must wear that on a t-shirt. They might not know why...

Absolutely gorgeous pictures of WS! :worship:

Yay for getting a patio table for Illuminations :woohoo: It looks like you had a great view.

Oh no, return of the evil D huh? I was afraid it was going to be making a return appearance :sad2:

Yet, more wonderful pictures. I don't think I'm taking any pics this trip as I will be embarrassed by the quality after seeing yours. (:

I have to admit I was happy that Lee won because we're from Chicago and Mt. Prospect is where I have known a wonderful family for 35 years (their son, who was my boyfriend at one time, passed away many years ago and we still stay in touch). I do agree with you about Carrie Underwood -- she is absolutely fabulous (we love country music here anyway, but she just has something extra special...and my oldest is absolutely in love with her).

Glad you got that great table for Illuminations. We've eaten at R&C a few times and the first three trips were great, the last one was so-so (I had the fish and it seemed very greasy the last time we were there; but it wasn't enough to keep us from going back).

Score on those terrific Illuminations seats!! Beautiful pictures, as always!

:rotfl2:I am getting him this logo on a T-shirt Next Trip!!!!!!!!

Another great update! How awesome that you had such a perfect seat for Illuminations! Your pictures are wonderful but lack the simplicity of Denny's

.
:rotfl2: OMG Dawn.....even Denny laughed out loud at that comment. Simplicity ....um....ok.....:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

As for AI...IMO..it's a popularity contest and I think although Crystal outperformed Lee, he was more likeable.

Totally a popularity contest and Lee definitely was a bit cute in a sheepish sort of way, but he seemed totally uncomfortable on the last night of performances. I just hope Crystal does really well. I just love that whol singer songwriter folksy blues kinds of thing. I do hope she cuts the dreads, although she has some of the better dreads...as far as dreads go.

Oh Denny :lmao:

Sounds like a lovely evening. We waited a long time for our table at R&C and I'm glad we did for the view but we ended up with a very unfortunate timing for the arrival of our food :sad2:

Denny informs me that there were people seated on the patio who arrived later than we did, but I think they were probably seated off to the side. We got the real deal.

I guess I am just going to have to read about your unfortunate food timing, aren't I? popcorn::

Holy moly! I'm super late for the party but I will catch up!!!!! Just scanning through your pics are mind blowingly fabulous!!!!! Love it!!
:welcome:party: Melissa - where the heck of you been????? I've really missed you and I am so glad you are here to join the party. Glad you like the pics. They are a step up from my old photos. :thumbsup2

Wow, Mary Ellen! That picture of Germany is just gorgeous!!! :lovestruc

Thanks!

Denny, Denny, Denny! :sad2: I feel your pain -- sometimes I feel like I must just be talking to myself.

.

Oh....I KNOW I am often talking to myself.

What a great view of Illuminations! I am so happy you enjoyed your dinner at Rose and Crown -- we really liked it there, too, when we ate there last summer.

Loved dinner! I do remember reading about your dinner and since it was such a positive review, I knew I wanted to eat there! Illuminations was great. Wish I could do that every trip!

Great updates! Your pictures are awesome.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

:

Thanks! I am so glad everyone is enjoying them!

When it comes to picture taking, I think our husbands must be related. :lmao:

He never took the greatest pictures (although he got some great ones on EE last fall), but this trip his picture taking skills have descended to a new low. He blamed it on the new camera! I'll train him better before the next trip!

Sorry I am a tad behind in responding to comments, but I will finish them all this morning.

I am going to Saratoga Springs today for a weekend soccer tournament. Unfortunately, I will not be leaving early enough to meet with Ellen. My GF is coming (her son is on team), so we are leaving at lunch time. Just as well cause I still have a bunch of things to do - LIKE PACK! :rotfl:

So I won't be updating for a few days. I will be home either Sunday or Monday, depending on how the team does. I promise to update before the end of the long weekend.

I spent quite a bit of time at the hospital with my dad yesterday. He is in a small hospital outside of philly. It turned out to be a good thing that I took yesterday off and visited because I talked with several of his doctors about some new changes in his condition. Won't go into detail, but it looks like he will be in the hospital over the weekend. My mom is really starting to get anxious, so I stayed late to give her support. Didn't get home until 8pm and didn't get much done.

Any ho......will try to get to the rest of the comments before I leave. Hope everyone has a great weekend and safe travels!

Hope your Dad is OK at the hospital.
Loving your TR
I am fairly new to the DIS but I am loving reading everyones trips and this one is GREAT!
We are making our first trip ever in October (we are getting married there too)
and I am getting even more excited for it reading the great stuff and seeing your AWESOME photos!
Lx

I adore Rose & Crown, I've had three fabulous meals there. Each one better than the last. I'm so glad you got a great seat for Illuminations.

That Denny, you can't leave him unsupervised for a minute! :scared1:

I'm sorry about your Dad, I hope he is on the mend! :goodvibes

Nice viewing location.
We've never done Rose and Crown - too many options in Epcot I guess.
And the kids are still a bit young to make it to 9:00 Illuminations.
We're usually exhausted by then after a looooong day at Epcot.
Maybe next time!

Loved the pictures!

It was really, really good food and a great view. My only question is....WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO EAT THERE?????? :confused3

I think there might be a few more Denny stories - or a few more stories in general!

what a great dining review! You make me want to make a reservation there!!!

And I love the souvenir glass.....

Not the evil D...oh no!

Definately Bang for the Buck, plus the prices there are reasonable so if you eat off the dining plan you can have a reasonable meal. Loved the patio view - day or night, its a cool place to eat.

If you don't go eat there this trip, then you have an excuse to go back! :rotfl:

It was definitely a perfect evening. Couldn't have asked for more. And BC - love that place. It was so quiet and serene. I could have sat at SAB or the beach all night!

I am sure you will have a wonderful time at your ADR/ Great way to kick off a trip!

Great pictures - how lucky were you to get that table!!! So worth waiting for.

That was such a perfect table and def worth waiting for.

I was never sure the menu appealed to me either, but I gotta tell you that surf and turf - I could eat that every visit.

R&C was not the cause of the return of the evil "D".

I would love that in a T-shirt. I would so buy that!

Absolutely gorgeous pictures of WS! :worship:

Oh no, return of the evil D huh? I was afraid it was going to be making a return appearance :sad2:

Thanks. Love taking pictures of the world showcase. and the table was superb. Perfect view.

As far as the Evil D - I will, unfortunately, need to mention that very soon. :sad2:

I am so glad you continue to like my pictures. I will keep them coming!

I am glad Lee is your home town boy. I would be voting for him too if that was me! I really do like him - don't get me wrong. He was an underdog and he had some great performances. I just really wanted Crystal - from the first performance to the last. Mostly, I wanted a girl to win!

Really - the fish was greasy? I had heard that, so I was a little scared to try it. But it was really good. Interesting - I wonder why it changes from time to time?

It looks like I am not going to get to everyone's comments, so I will try to sneak into the business center :lmao: at the La Quinta. If that one computer is available, I will def finish. I just don't like to take lap tops on a soccer trip. Too many things to drop, break, spill, and crush!

See ya real soon!

I understand completely! Good luck to the team! :shamrock:

Fantastic table score at R&C! We've eaten here (for lunch) and I thought the food was great!
