I adore Rose & Crown, I've had three fabulous meals there. Each one better than the last. I'm so glad you got a great seat for Illuminations.
That Denny, you can't leave him unsupervised for a minute!
I'm sorry about your Dad, I hope he is on the mend!
Thanks LL. My dad went to subacute rehab yesterday, so he is doing much better. It's just hard to be transferred on the weekend because its a skeleton crew.
As someone already said.......Denny, Denny, Denny

Thank goodness he's so laid back. And averything he does he says, "Are you gonna put that in your TR?"
Nice viewing location.
We've never done Rose and Crown - too many options in Epcot I guess.
And the kids are still a bit young to make it to 9:00 Illuminations.
We're usually exhausted by then after a looooong day at Epcot.
Maybe next time!
That was always my opinion of R&C, but I really enjoyed it once we finally visited. I'm so glad we went.
Your kids are a little young for the full day to night thing. Heck....I'm too old for the full day to night thing!
I understand completely! Good luck to the team!
Fantastic table score at R&C! We've eaten here (for lunch) and I thought the food was great!
Kathy
Thanks Kathy - the team is doing well!
Loved the table score and I bet lunch on a nice day is fabulous there on the back porch! hmmmmmmm.....I will put that on my list for a future trip!
I hope your dad is ok!
Best of luck to the soccer team
Thanks Dawn - my dad is slowing improving. Right now I am more worried about my mom because she is stressed to the max!
Thanks for the good wishes for the soccer team!
Wow your Illuminations pictures were great, I got such awful ones!
We did Rose and Crown last November, but we weren't patient enough to wait for an outdoor table! We liked it, I'd definitely go there again just to get a table outside!
Have a fun weekend!
Thanks - I did manage to get a few good pictures. I will try again next trip!
I definitely recommend the outdoor table, but I think it depends what time of year you go. I knew we had a chance with them taking walk-ups, but if you're starved and its busy - well I would do with indoor, too!
The Airheads logo is from an international motorcycle club......
Airheads Beemer Club
An international motorcycle club for unpretentious owners of air-cooled BMWs
I never had the pleasure of owning or riding a two wheeled Beemer...
Really???? Well I have never had the pleasure of owning or driving a two wheeled or a four wheeled beemer.(although I have always wanted a 4 wheeled one)

Cool name for a motorcycle club.

Denny!!! Instead of Illuminations he was trying for reflections on water

Poor Denny

OMG - funny - Reflections on Water!!!! Luv it!
:Have fun in the real SS this weekend! My niece lives right outside Albany although I can't remember the name of the exact town
I really like it here. It's a nice area. I am surprised how much outside seating there is at all the restaurants. I guess after a long, cold winter people are dying to get outside. Definitely seems like a nice place to live!
I loved R&C! When I saw you later in the week you mentioned you had the surf and turf so that is what I had too

I LOVED the fish!! It was perfect and I am not a fried fish kind of girl! I also had an unplanned dismeet while waiting to be seated.....I noticed one of the girls in their beautiful

attire and looked at her CM tag...Sammie. I went up to her and asked if she was Samantha from the Dis...she was and I had read several of her TR's!! She is from England and is here working for a year! She hasn't been on in months but I remembered her pictures. It was pretty cool meeting her!
Tracy
That is really cool! I would love an impromptu meet like that! Very cool! See - that's ahy you need a TR.....so you can post these things.
I am so glad you liked R&C after you tried the fish. Funny cause when I went to Saana later in the week I tried the exact same dish that Ellen had and it was excellent!
I'm working on getting caught up! I'm going to comment on what I've read so far that way I don't forget anything, because I will forget otherwise!!! Blonde moments you know...
WOW! So much going on!!!
I'm so sorry for the problems you guys have been having with Brian! But I'm glad the medication is working! I completely understand your hesitation to put him on it but it seems to be the best thing!
I can't believe how sick you were! You poor thing! That must have been absolutely awful!!! I'm glad you got better before the trip!!!
.
Thanks Melissa. It was a challenging month leading up to the trip, but it was productive in terms of helping Brian. It really sucked to be that sick because every time I have the least little twinge of nausea I think .....OH NO!

I can't believe Denny lost his driver's license! I would have completely freaked!!!! Good for you for remaining calm! My MIL and FIL travel with friends a lot and a few years ago they got to the airport and one of the women realized she had brought her old passport! Not her new, up to date, valid passport! Opps! They were going to the Bahamas and you need a passport to go to the Bahamas now! She called her sister who was gracious enough to go their house get the passport and drive it to JFK! The only this is that JFK is like an hour and a half from here!!! She got there just i time and the friend literally ran down the jetway as they were about to close the door!
Now that is stressful!!!!!!

YIKES! I don't think I would have remained too calm for that!

About the keys!!! You were tired!!! That's why you couldn't find them!!! One of our trips, either 06 or 08, in the first 3 hours of our trip I lost my sunglasses, DD's KTTW card and a refillable bottle of water!! DH declared me no longer in charge for the rest of the because I mat loss a kid next!
I was tired, but I was although worthy of the Airhead Logo that shocker so graciously shared!!!!!
Truth be told - I could probably rival you in losing things. As soon as I get out of my "element" I lose things very easily. I realize now that I have probably always struggled with some degree of ADD and that accounts for my absent mindedness.
I'm sorry your villa wasn't wonderful as you had hoped!!! I wonder if their planning on refurbing anytime soon! I think that Kidani may have that effect though!! You've stayed at the best so how can the rest compare?! I figure BLT will have the same effect too! You'll have to let me know!!
Ok, that's as far as I've gotten so far!!! Be back...
I feel like I've given everyone the impression that the villa was horrible. It really wasn't. It was nice, just a little worn. But it's like you said - after Kidani - well Kidani just spoils a DVC'er. It's just so perfect in many ways!
Saying a prayer for your dad, and for you to have a safe and fun trip!
Thanks Denise....

I appreciate the prayers. I am glad to report that Dad is slowly improving. So far we are having a safe and fun trip!!!!!
