I went to a Bingo Pampered Chef party and I won! I couldn't believe it. So....I'm not much of a baker. What can I make in it? Can I just use store-bought cake mixes? How about bread or brownies? They told me not to put it in soapy water....just to use water and the scraper that came with it. Am I still supposed to grease the pan like a normal one? And does it cook any faster than normal pans? I'm sure I sound like a complete idiot. The only baking I ever do is a few cookies at Christmas but I'm willing to learn. :D

Thanks,
Michelle

Yes, you can put Pam, etc, into it, but don't need to, especially if you are baking items like cakes that already have oil in them. Don't use soap -- only water and the scrubber. I own a few PC stoneware items and love them.

At a party I attended the consultant made a regular choc. cake from a mix and put it in the fluted pan. Then she used the cookie dough dropper and took a can of choc. frosting and dumped dollops all around the circle and cooked it in the microwave for about 15 minutes. The idea was that the cake would "self-frost." We didn't let it cool to see that happen, but it was a very moist and yummy cake.

For additional ideas, there should have been an instruction/recipe booklet in the box the pan came in. Call or e-mail the consultant who hosted the party -- she should be able to give you more ideas. I haven't checked out their website in a long time, but they might have some recipes there too.
