Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

For some reason, we always find it difficult to get to Disney Springs from just about any resort with the excessive stoplights. On our last Coronado stay, between a slowwww driver, hitting every light, and waiting for a line of busses at drop off, it was a 50 minute excursion!

Hi everyone! So, I’ve planned an adult trip for my wife’s 40th Bday. We’ve got 9 of us coming, and we’ve booked at Coronado Springs. We are staying Labor Day weekend, and I didn’t realize it until this week that we are staying the same weekend of D23 (at the same resort)! Will the resort be a nightmare that weekend? Will the pools and transportation be overrun? We are committed for that weekend, but are trying to decide if we need to change resorts. Thanks for any help!

I did d23when it was at CR 2023. We stayed at GF. I had to mono over to CR for events but didn’t think things were any different than normal. I stay at CR often and they do conventions regularly so they have capacity.

CSR is so large you shouldnt have much impact. People will be at the events/mostly adults. Pools shouldn’t have much impact.
Dining could get busy. I would book some meals ,you can always cancel. Their QS options are used to supporting conventions. Look in the app and see what your options are. CSR has so many walk up bars, QS and TS options.

I would call and request y’all near each other.

We did Destination D23 two years ago. You do not have time to use the pool or restaurants or transportation. You are either in a session or in line to go to a session. Then they have off site events for you at night. This year they are going to TL for a party. You should be fine.

Is Casitas or Cabanas better?

Just staying one 1 night so pool is probably most important with no park day

Is one of those sections better then the other in terms of beauty?

I always request Cabanas - I've never gotten it yet, but I like it best just from the aesthetic perspective.

Casitas is Preferred for probably half of the rooms. It feels like an apartment complex to me. It's fine - that's where I've been put the past 2 times. It's just not my preferred look.

I'd think Ranchos is probably closer to the pool though - definitely closer than the Cabanas. Maybe not as close as the furthest Casitas building, but closer than the Cabanas section.

Hello,
I'm staying at Coronado Springs for the Halloween party on October 31st, first time for that party and about 15 years since I've stayed at Coronado, should I check in with the app or go to the front desk ? That app looks amazing, any advantage to it like a early check-in ? can't wait to see the party and then relax the next day.
Thanks
