bt i don't know what!! i am getting very excited now, and no one at home can relate to my over excitement!! they are excited too, but i think they are fed up with my countdown, my constant interuptions on conversations with the little updates i keep giving them!! i just needed to release the fact that i am SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!! ahh, that's better. thanks:rotfl2:

awwww you just let it all out :yay: I can share in it too, as we're getting closer this surprise trip is getting harder and we keep tripping ourselves up all the time. Yesterday my mum announced that she thinks we should 'take this bag to Disney' ... dd's ears pricked up visibly .... my quick recovery 'oh yeah when would that be???!?!?!!' :rotfl:

Bless i know exactly how you feel as our next trip in July is just a girly one and my dh is staying home which he does not mind but i feel guilty if i get over excited and i know he loves dlp too so here is where i can release all my excitement too he he
hope you have a magical time princess: :rotfl2:and you can keep the secret, im not sure if i could im such a blabber mouth

i think we all understand here lol.

i just realized i havent told my dd about our trip yet. we are always planning for a trip but i havent mentioned when we are going. maybe i should surprise her this time. i have always said i would love to surprise her but i have blabbed by the time i have gotten off the phone to book lol. she is only four but she is my partner in crime lol

I surprised my DS (6 at the time) with our trip to WDW last year.

Got him excited by casually looking at books, DVD's and websites of Disney etc, and saying "Wouldn't it be great to go there?? But I can't afford it this year, maybe another time".

About 2 weeks before we were due to go, I had Mickey "send" him a letter (it was me of course! And he failed to notice the stamp was local) saying he'd been such a good boy that Mickey was inviting him personally to come to Disney in the school holidays, and how excited Mickey and all the crew were that he was coming, and how they would reserve him a very special room in the hotel he had chosen (Pop Century), and I enclosed a copy of his airline ticket. Because my DD was a good reader it made it extra magical as he was able to read the letter himself.

My DS went nuts - he burst into tears and ran around the house shouting "I'm going to Disney!" and it was great because the trip was so close, we could get into it straight away - the packing, the planning etc. He was still on cloud 9 when we were boarding the plane for our 22 hour trip....Telling little kids too far in advance takes the shine off it a bit, IMHO. They dont understand why there's this enormous gap betwen telling them they're going, and then going.

i don't think i could keep it a suprise!! it's nice to beable to come here and be crazy. i like crazy:rotfl: i am already planning our next trip (in my head) and we have't been on this one yet! it's gonna have to be a a school holidays one i think, we may get in trouble if we take the kids out of school again!! i was thinking feb half term 2012, i have only ever been in Feb, i think it's a nice time to go to enjoy after the christmas madness. and i believe it's much cheaper than the rest of the year. how busy exactly does it get though in feb half term? i love the fact that during term time the park is reasonably quiet, no long lines and good views of shows and parades.

Awww I totally feel your excitement!! :) this is exactly what it is like in our house atm, everyone excited but getting fed up with me telling them more bits of info or more ideas!
Hope you all have a fab time :yay::yay::yay:

Those with forthcoming trips will be experiencing the same excitement as yourself. Those without trips planned can share vicariously through you all :cool1::thumbsup2

We are going 6 weeks today and in my head I have decided what we are doing each day, where we are eating, what cocktails I will be drinking:rotfl:
When I booked it, work banned me from talking about it at all unless I am directly asked:sad2: and when I am everone sighs! They just dont understand.

We are going in February Half term this year. Its the first time we have been in school hols (usually going when v quiet eg Jan) and I am a bit worried; but its its magic hours every day and stays open later than we are used to so we are hoping we will cope. We have been spoilt with no queues and staying on rides - I dont have very patient children:rolleyes:
I will let you know.:thumbsup2

I soooo know what you're saying ;) - and then when someone does ask my advice about going to DLP for the first time, they know I'm going to get my coffee and settle in for a good old chat about it :rotfl::rotfl:!

Well the case came out today so I reckon by tomorrow I will be packed :rotfl:
I went into the Disney store today to buy myself a mickey t shirt (sad I know) and then at the till they were selling Toy Story document wallets for £1.45 in the sale! So I have come home and put all our passports, tickets, docs and hand written notes into that and put that in our backpack! No doubt Hubbie will roll his eyes about that when he sees it!! :rolleyes:

Have just stopped laughing at this.....exactly the same at my house just me and youngest barely containing our excitement - at least once (ok maybe 100) times every day we think of some Disney related topic (even if its not it turns into a Disney related topic!) my eldest and husband are now totally ignoring us!! And now I have discovered the quiz....OMG all our Disney guides books and maps have to be kept close at hand for reference purposes they are really going mental!

Glad I can get on here to have my fix! Thanks guys!!

We too doing a school holiday for the first time - like other poster we are hoping to use extra magic hours and longer opening time to do everything! Will let you know how that goes.

Just can't wait!!!:yay::yay::yay::yay:

Oh yes we are getting very excited too in this house.The menus have been perused over and my oldest DS has even decided what he is eating in each restaurant :lmao:
In work I was asked today how long was it now and I like a big child excitedly said 4 weeks from today we will be there.I was also asked if I was counting down the days and I said no ....the hours :rotfl2:
It is so nice to come on here and share the excitement with like minded people:thumbsup2

LOL!! :lmao: I'm quite lucky in that the lady I work with tolerates me going on about Disney so long as I listen to her endless drivel about football!! :rotfl2:

well i may actually explode!!! i havent told my two yet and wont until we get the the eurostar in 3wks 2 days! told them we were going to lodon for a week, started packing today an dout come the questions about what hotels we are staying in and what we are going to do in london! my daughter has been there a few times with school so she is quite happy giving me some ideas about the natural history museum and hamleys!!!!!

i cannot explain how hard it is for me to not say anything, i am rubbish with secrets and i booked this in september last year it has been very hard not to say anything, on the way to school this morning i got over excited in my head and shreaked quite loudly, they think i have gone mad!!!!

as its my first time too i am even more excited, trying to plan meals and where we will eat, there is a lot of looking into it all but i am sooooo gald to be going and it gives me something to google while the boyf kills zombies :headache:

no doubt i will be back to tell the tale of how i told them!!!!

We're excited too!!!:cool1::cool1:
