I just spent the last hour on the phone

talking to an old friend who is an idiot now. He kept telling he's going to end it, he's done, he is done with people and don't need anyone any more.
He kept telling me how sorry he was, how he needs someone to be his friend, telling me not to hang up because he didn't know what he would do.
I finally get to what he's talking about, he's moving to Michigan. Or that's what his plans are tonight.

Now, I get to start wrapping presents. I hope I get some sleep tonight. He's already called back twice.
