I just saw the oddest thing

I was outside watering my flower boxes when a neighborhood woman walked by reading a book I had to do a double take because it just looked so odd. She seemed to be totally engrossed and appeared not to have noticed my staring. I don't think I'd be able to actually walk and read at the same time.

I've done this; it's not safe. Sometimes I have to say to myself, "Mal, the book will still be there when you get back!"

I would have followed her until she tripped on the sidewalk!

I do this! I have to walk three blocks and over a bridge from my trolley stop to my work building. I've never run into anyone or trip. You can kind of tell if someone coming or not.

I guess it would look sort of odd.

Ya know, I actually see this quite often on my commute to work. Many times it's not even when the traffic is at a standstill. That is scary!
