Roger finally made it over after telling me all day that he was going to be here in a few minutes. He called me at 7:55 and told me he'd be here in a couple of minutes and this time he actually made it. It was so worth it. He told me that he'd started telling his mom about us...asking her what she'd do if a "Caucasian young lady" came to see him. Other than telling him what would have happened to him "back in the day" to which he replied that they weren't talking about "back in the day" but rather were talking about the future, she didn't have much to say. I told him that I wasn't ready to tell my dad quite yet and he said that was okay because he wasn't willing to deal with the repercussions of my telling my dad quite yet. Then as he was leaving, he told me that he could imagine coming home to me and waking up to my "beautiful face" every morning. We also watched part of the Broncos game together (a first for us even though football is a major shared interest.) It was so romantic and sweet and I feel like I'm walking on air.

The best part is that I thought he went home but he stayed in town because he can't stand being away from me and he's coming back. He just called me.

Glad to hear you had a great time! DH and I watched Da Bears on our first date!:D

I'm going to have to disappoint him though because I'm going to bed now (I only got 5 and a half hours of sleep last night and I have an 8 AM class tomorrow) and he's going to have to wait until tomorrow morning to see me again. Oh well, it just makes me feel awesome that he wanted to see me again that soon after seeing me.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!:D

The best date of your life consisted of you telling your boyfriend that you're too ashamed of him to tell your dad about him??? And you watched part of a football game??? Doesn't take much to make you happy, huh?

I don't know all the dynamics here...but I am wondering why some people feel it necessary to "make-fun" of her apparent happiness.

Maybe there are some behind the scenes informatin that I don't know...but If she is happy...isn't that all the matters?????

Yeah, I wonder why that is? Why rain on Becki's parade like that?

Sheesh!

Good for you Becki, sounds like he is head over heels for you! :)

Thanks everyone who had something nice to say :)

I'm so glad that you are happy!!

SHEESH..... And you guys wonder why people leave the DIS!

Don't worry, Robin.....People like you make up for it and I won't leave the boards :)

I guess ,as someone who HAS followed this soap opera for the last year or so, I shouldn't have commented. The DIS pixie dust folks here live in a truly unreal state of mind, I guess.
