Becki, I'm happy you are finding happiness at this time in your life. I'd take things slow and use your head and your heart. I remember some great times with DH when were dating that weren't anymore than chance meetings so to say. When you are falling in love every few minutes of togetherness is nice.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, be mean, etc....BUT....

If you are in your mid-20's, why is this an issue with your parents aproving of your boyfriend? Your an Adult, why are you scared/hesitant to tell your parents about each other. And didn't you say that he was older than you by like 10 years or something?

Again, I'm not trying to be rude, It just seems really weird that you both are scared to tell mommy/daddy who your boyfriend/girlfriend is. If your happy, I'm happy for you. It just doesn't make sense to me.

TigerBear, well my mom is considering leaving my dad to be perfectly honest....she's started asking around about apartment complexes in Richmond and I would stay with her with the kids. DopeySharon, all it says about my relationship with Roger is that it's pretty new and I'd rather wait at least a couple of months before I basically totally close the door on my relationship with my dad.

Isn't your dad sick, HW? I thought I remember you mentioning that back a couple of weeks ago. I hope you don't close the relationship with your father, especially under those circumstances, I'd hate for you to have regrets about that later on.

It is nice to be in love, and nothing better than that "walking on air" feeling, but just don't let it make you forget about the relationships that already exist. JMO, of course.

You know, Becki may not have all the answers, and may have made some mistakes and as young as she is, I'm sure she'll make more.
Frankly, we all will. Not a single one of us is perfect.

I told him today that I'm afraid he's going to lose interest and he told me he's here "for life." I also feel kind of like a teenager again because I didn't have a jacket and it's cold outside so he loaned me his and I haven't taken it off yet. MMMM, his jacket smells like his cologne.
