I just had my first ever Fluffernutter Sandwich!

I have never had a fluffernutter sanwich, LOL and never heard of it till reading about one here!

They sound good, but I htink I'll pass.

herc.

Umm, what is it?

I've had the Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwiches, but I thought that was what you all were talking about.

A "true" Fluffanutter sandwich is made like this:

Take two slices of white Wonder bread. On one slice, spread a nice layer of Skippy peanut butter. On the other slice, spread a similar thickness layer of Fluff marshmallow cream.

Place the two together, peanut butter touching marshmallow cream, then cut in half.

Now you have a real Fluffanutter. And yes, you need to buy and use these brand names, although if all you can find is Bond bread in your area, it will do.

Janice, you mean I can't use my wheat bread and PeterPan peanut butter?????

Oh well, I guess if I'm going to do it right, I gotta do it right.

You couldn't pay me enough to have one of them....YUCK!

jif used to make this chocolate peanutbutter stuff that make great fluffanutter sanwiches! I'm not sure if they still make it or not. Its adds a nice twist sometimes.

Laurie, you might be able to get away with the Peter Pan peanut butter (or Jif, if you're in a pinch), but the wheat bread is a major no-no!

Gotta have preserved-until-sometime-next-week white bread. Good white or wheat or rye just won't do!

I'm surprised that there are people who have never heard of a Fluffernutter sandwich!

It's as american as baseball and apple pie!

Fluff and PB rules, I can't think of being a kid and not having them especailly when you toast them.....in the winter with a big cup of hot chocolate with fluff....mmmmm! Midnight snack time! ::yes::

Never had one either. My mother probably would have died before serving that! We did have peanut butter and brown sugar as an occasional treat though - what mom didn't know didn't hurt her.

I can't believe how many people have never heard of a fluffernuter. My DH will still take them to work, however he prefers the rasberry over the traditional white fluff. I must say I have never had one on toast, now I will have to get the white stuff and try it. So much for the diet today. LOL :p

Deanna:wave2:

Raspberry Fluff? Never heard of it! I bought the regular Fluff earlier this year for kids to try. DS loves it DD hates it and now I am eating Fluff!! Excellent on toast!! ( I have to admit, I use wheat bread)

Here in Connecticut I can get raspberry and strawberry as well as the origional. DH and I eat it but my kids don't like it. DS 11 doesn't like peanutbutter and DS 8 just doesn't like fluff but will eat marshmallows out of the bag, go figure.

I wish they would make Fluff with Splenda, I miss eating Fluff and peanut butter sandwiches so much!

Well - evidently I've been living in the dark as well.

My Fluff layer was ALWAYS thicker than my PB layer!! hehehehe

mmm...fluff in hot cocoa...I'm in heaven....

Yuck, you can have all of mine. I hate peanut butter. conCATulations anyway.

I had never heard of a fluffernutter until I moved to New England.

Well okay I guess I'll have to buy real authentic Fluff then and try it. I did have the Skippy Peanut Butter and the Wonder Bread though......although the Peanut Butter was crunchy...LOL! Does it have to be creamy????

I've never head of fluff in Hot Cocoa, that sounds heavenly! I love marshmallow anything!

Hi,
Add me to the group that has never heard of a flutternutter.
Is it a regional thing?
Sandy
