i just got TWO pins!

i did get the 40% off one and then discovered it about 2 weeks too late. it's okay, because i'm saving way more the way i booked, but still. i went from zero pins to a whole bunch, though i have to say that 5 or 10% isn't really enticing me into booking with disney.

LOL! I think they're just putting those out there to discover who will be coming even in the absence of a discount. If you booked the cheapo PIN thinking it's better than nothing, then they can assume they have you hooked and maybe not send you anything better??????????

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. What's the alternative? Thinking that's the best they can do?

I was told by a CM earlier this week that you can only have one active pin at a time.

I never received email/pc about it; I just asked if I had a pin when I called. The CM told me it was for a 10,20, or 30% room discount if I booked a package (at least a 1 day base ticket for each). I booked the POFQ (could only get riverside when I called back to actually make the res, which cost a little more that $100 extra). Based on my calculations, I'm saving about 35% on the regular room rate, so I was pretty happy with that.

I must agree that those are some odd pin rates but I have another question. Are these pin codes for 2011 or 2012 dates?

Disney hasn't sent us a PIN in a few months. Seems kind of strange. Maybe we will get one for FD during Thanksgiving.

So NOT true. It seems, for me, when it rains pins, it POURS pins. I'll get 3-5 at a time. Sometimes the same pins, frequently different pins. And I've had CMs price multiple pins on the same phone call.

I do have to say, the pins I've been getting lately are weak. I suppose something is better than nothing, but if I don't keep it below a reasonable price point that I feel there is value to staying onsite, then they won't get my business. Too many great places offsite full of value at reasonable rates. I used to think it was all about being onsite, but we just don't use the (now too few) perks anymore.
