I just got done with "The Archer's Tale" by Bernard Cornwell, and I loved it. :thumbsup2 It's the first of the "Grail Quest" series, total of three books. Anyone ever read these books? I can't wait to get on the train for my commute home and start book two. Has anyone else read any of his other books? If so, which ones and did you like it? I just discovered him, so "The Archer's Tale" is the first of his books I've read.

Bernard Cornwell is one of my all time favorite authors. :thumbsup2 The Grail series is fantastic. I just finished his latest - The Pale Horseman. It's the 2nd in his King Alfred series. The first was The Last Kingdom - I believe it was just released in paperback and can't recommend it enough. I read it in a matter of hours because it was so engrossing.

I think i just found my favorite author. The first books that really got me reading again on a regular basis was the Harry Potter books and outside that I've read a book here and there, but this guy I can easily see myself reading all of his.

The Grail series is fantastic.
Didn't you just hate Sir Simon from the beginning? I couldn't stand him and I'm so glad he got it in the end.

I almost bought this book, but decided to go with the Grail series first.
