The cost was $20:rolleyes: It was an all day affair...at an outdoor venue in Chicago. I saw several bands that day including Peter Frampton, Yes and a group that made an incredible impact on this mainly northern crowd, Lynard Skynard:D I do not believe I had or have seen that much raw energy on stage to this day. It was only a few short months after that that thier plane went down and several of them were killed :( I am listening to thier "live" CD now :) Oh well just reminising....

Alright Patrick, I had to pull out the old scrapbook to find my oldest ticket stub!

Electric Light Orchestra at The Philadelphia Spectrum for Saturday February 12, 1977. Price for one ticket in section J; $7.00!!! That's right, seven dollars!

Okay lets all admit we are old via ticket stubs

I agree Patrick but I don't like to leave evidence around for those who don't see it that way (like my kids - lol)

Patrick, why don't you post a picture of yourself from 1977. Would love to see what you were wearing! Leisure suit maybe??:o

Here are the ones that I could find:

Rush, 1981, $9.75
Frank Zappa, 1981, $9.75
Foreigner, 1981, $9.75
Donnie Iris, 1982, Free
Elton John, 1989, $22.50
Jimmy Buffett, 1991, Free

Hey we3luvdisney, I've got a Frank Zappa and The Mothers concert stub! :)

1975 - $5.50!!! (that's not my oldest one either....ouch!)

.....moving to Montana soon, gonna be a dental floss tycoon!

I've got a Bad Company ticket from 1979 that was a whopping $9.00 to buy.

I loved Lynard Skynard, Patrick! I never got to see them, one of the few 70's bands that I never got to see. That was so sad when a bunch of them died in that plane crash. And then a few of them got together and were Rossington Collins Band, but they never really made it big. I saw them then.

I just heard a great Lynard Skynard song the other day, "Tuesdays Gone (with the wind)". Love that song. Almost inspired me to stand there with a ciagrette lighter to show my appreciation. :teeth:

I love reminising!!!!! I have NO idea, tho, what I paid to see some of my idols like Elton John and Queen!!:) :bounce:

I had an extra ticket to see Elton John. My date cancelled at the last moment ----- why didn't you say anything?

I saw Boston in 1978 here in Toledo--my first concert--cost me $8 to sit 25th row floor! Sammy Hagar opened up.
In 1982 I paid a whopping $20 to see an outdoor, all day concert with Donnie Iris, Triumph, Loverboy and Foreigner!
Foreigner is coming here next week and the cheap seats are $30! I don't think so.

I think you should all Clean your drawers more often!!!!

You're lucky you still have the ticket stubs. I saw Lynard Skynard with Aerosmith in 1974. Still listen to my Skynard cds. They had some great songs!!
