I'm just going to say that 5.99 for a app that does all of this stuff is pretty awesome. The negativity that is floating around the Dis unplugged boards is a bit much. Can we tone it down a notch and just be happy?? For the most part we are healthy, and happy. The podcast crew has pretty much given alot of us a way to escape from normal life. I know that for me that is worth the 6 bucks that I'm going to pay when this app comes out. Just the thought that I wont have to make a darn spreadsheet for my next "vacation" after my cp is good enough to justify the cost.

I listen to the podcast. I went on the cruise. I am going to DAP. I have lots of friends on these boards that I have laughed a lot with. I have a lot of friends on here becasue I went on the the cruise, and I am an active poster on these boards. I enjoy listening to the podcast. I don't agree with all of it. But, I enjoy it. I know that the podcast crew is a great bunch of people.

I only have an ipod Touch. I could buy an iphone, but I haven't, and it's nobody's fault but my own. I will buy this app if for no other than reason than to support the DIS. I am proud of what these guys have accomplished, and I want to support it. And, it's very exciting what they are doing.

And, it really stinks that the crew is so excited about it and people are putting so much effort into knocking it. I see it happen too often here that they are doing really great things and someone has to find a way to ruin it. Let it be a good and exciting thing. And, if you can't use the product, then just congratulate the crew for doing a good job and accomplishing what they have.

Yesterday I downloaded a Shrek game app @ $4.99 for my 4 year old to play on my iPod Touch. I'm not a huge Shrek fan... he's not Disney but, it keeps my son occupied and quiet in the grocery store.

I will TOTALLY download Project X app at any price for my iTouch (no iPhone for me... I am a Sprint sheep). I enjoy The Dis and Disney... that's why I come to the boards. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd... it will keep me occupied and quiet in the grocery store.

I'm going to risk being called a "sheep" but I wanted to toss out an analogy.

I am a coach, have coached many sports at many age levels. If you want to do something that draws out the best and worst of people try coaching. No matter what you do, how you do it there is a group of complainers. They are usually the ones sitting on the sideline watching. Seldom do we have too many coaches volunteer. After taking a year off because I was fed up with listening to people whine about this and that I took a good hard look at why I coach. I decided it was because I enjoyed working with kids, watching them improve and helping them learn life lessons along the way. I refuse to let a few complainers ruin that for me. I'm tired of hearing the whine from the cheap seats and taking away someone that has the experience and knowledge to be a good coach. If they don't like it, too bad, next time sign up to coach.

Take that for what is worth.


ohhh....I don't have an iPhone. I would love to see this as a blackberry app someday.

AMEN, sister! (I am assuming you are a sister, and not a brother, but that is another discussion )

It just kills me that people are getting testy about this. Is there really nothing else going on that people are getting this upset?!

(And I bolded the part above.) I saw this type of behavior ALL THE TIME when I worked for my family business a few years ago. You were damned if you do, damned if you don't. Some people are just never happy and you have to come to terms with that, even though it sucks to be around such negative people.

If you read EVERY word, then nothing negative would be taken by my post. Have you ever heard of playing "devil's advocate"? I've NEVER said anything negative about the podcast or DU. As a matter of fact, I used DU for my cruise. I'd like to think that if I did have something to say that wasn't flattering, that I wouldn't be repudiated for choosing to opine. I don't think $5.99 is a bad price for this kind of app.

I'm a software engineer, and a LOT of work had to go into this app. IMO, this is well priced. I was surprised that they are going to do lifetime free upgrades....that's a major bonus.

I fully understand your way of communicating. Some people just don't understand that can actually bring up a point without necessarily feeling that way. And also, adults tend to behave in similar ways as teenagers. They want to be a part of the "In" crowd. The podcast team and everyone associated with them are "The cool kids". To some people, the podcast team can do no wrong. It doesn't matter if you make sense or not......If it's not a flattering remark, then you might as well not make it.

Defend yourself against what? If you post something about drunk drivers, I won't feel the need to defend myself. Guess why. Because it doesn't apply to me. You said I painted using a broad brush. Since when has "SOME" been a generalization? Due to a previous conversation via PM, I thought that you were different. I guess I was wrong. I didn't personally attack you or anyone else.
