I just can't sell myself on POFQ!! ARGHH!!

Good luck with your planning!! We have done POR, WL, CSR, and POFQ. We loved POFQ because it is smaller, bus service was good, and it was quiet. We had a grand gathering with 4 generations, so it was perfect for all. I didn't feel that POFQ had an overwhelming Mardi Gras/New Orleans theme to it. I would highly recommend it (and have) to anyone.

We stayed at POFQ in 2006 and returned in 2007 as we liked it so much. What we enjoy most is the size, especially with 3 young children. In 2006 we had a car but in 2007 we relied on the transportation, which was fine. The pool is great for kids from 3 - 8 years old. I would always stay there but we are sized-out with 3 kids. We didn't care much that it doesn't have a TS restaurant as we had the dining plan both years. In the future I'm not sure what we will do.

We stayed at POFQ this year and we loved it! Of course, we have never stayed on property before and I don't have other experiences to compare it to, but we loved it! The size of the resort was great and the kids loved the theming and the slide at the pool. The decor didn't bother me. The only complaint I have is there is only one pool. The food court was very good and so was the bus service. We would definitely stay here again without a doubt. I say just try it. If you don't like it, then at least you can say that you tried! I know choosing a resort can be a headache though. We are planning another trip for 2009 and I can't decide if we should stay at POFQ again or try something new. Like I said we loved POFQ!

WE love POFQ..It is quaint and close to anything you need. We just got back and stayed one night at CBR just to check it out before VWL..One, it is showing wear and tear (furnishings and walls). This was in the Aruba building 51 and without a car we will NEVER stay there again..The walk to the bus was ridiculous, we were closer to the Jamaica one and then 7 stops within the resort? When the CM told us where to get the "internal" bus to get to our building I should have known! I know some love this resort and I guess if you have car, it is pretty.

It is your vacation, so go where you want. But I would say, try it once. I always thought that the All Stars were not I would want to stay but we stayed this past August at the All Star Music and were really pleasantly surprised! We had a great time! I would stay there again.
My favorite resort though, is the POFQ for all the reasons that have been stated previously here. It is small, beautifully landscaped, laid back and the CMs are wonderful. There is no sit down resturant anymore:sad2: but the walk to the POR is very short and beautiful, and the resturant there is pretty good. We don't eat many meals in the food court except for breakfast, but the food court is themed like a giant warehouse housing parts of the floats for the Madi Gra. So the masks and etc, are oversized.
The rooms are all refurbished and we have never had a problem with dirty rooms. We did have a problem with the refrig. on our last stay but a call to the front desk brought a repairperson quickly. We will be staying here in August of 2008. Cannot wait!!

Regarding the busses...since PP said that POFQ is the first pick up & drop off, there is only the one stop at POFQ. Then there are 4 at POR. So since at CSR & CBR the busses stop at 4-5 other stops within the resort, we found it was no difference at all (bus wise).
I was just going to make the same point. Nice job!:thumbsup2

This is exactly right. There is absolutely no difference in the bus service between POR and CSR. Both multiple stops- identical experience.

I will say that if you can get past your dislike of the themeing, I think you would love the size POFQ is so user friendly that it's hard not to love that side of it. Sharing buses with POR really makes it no worse that another large mod such as CBR and in most cases you are picked up and dropped off first.
