I just bought tickets front row and center. I was excited to get such great tickets. Were not going to May. I guess it pays to plan way ahead. I know nothing about this show. My mom went last month here in California and said it was a lot of fun. Can anybody tell me what this show is like and did I make a good descision buying front row seats.

Well if it helps I was planning on getting the same tickets myself. :)
Google blue man Group and you can find some great videos.

We are completely on the fence about this show. We have never been, and have googled it, and it doesn't look like something that I think I would be interested in. And besides, the blue faces kind of freak me out. This looks like something that young kids would enjoy, not a night out for a pair of adults.

However, I have never read a bad review. They get stellar reviews from everything that I read. They appear to be entertaining, fun, incredibly genius in their musical styles. It would be something that I normally would be completely interested in.

I think its the blue faces that throw me off....

I haven't seen the show but everyone I know who has really enjoyed it. I'm sure the kids will have a blast!

My DH and I are going to see them in March when they come to us locally - Im really excited - we've never seen them but hear its a great show!

And since both DH and I are "young kids" at 38 then we should have a blast!! :lmao:

I've seen the show in Boston three times (not sure in the one in Universal is the same) and no one leaves there without a smile on their face. It is super fun. Go! Enjoy! I sat in the front row once - be sure to wear the poncho and maybe not your favorite outfit. I ended up with banana all over me!

I just booked for April. Had the option of front row, but decided to go with row A (first row behind the poncho zone)

I can't wait:goodvibes

Saw the BMG in Chicago. I may be a bit biased since I'm a drummer, but you will enjoy the show.

My son and I loooooove BMG. He saw his first show at 5 and he is 11 now - Chicago (1), Vegas (2), Orlando (2), On Tour (2). It's just plain fun!!!! He loves the poncho section and we have had seats in the front row for about half of the times we have seen them. If you are anywhere but the center the ponchos are more for show, but since your seats are in the middle cover up when you see the twinkies come out.....

Thanks for the replies. Its not a show I would normally be interested in, but my mom convinced me that the kids would love it. I am excited to see what it's about, and thanks for the warning about the twinkies.

I've seen it twice and it is a blast. Went with some friends the first time and took my younger brother (11) this time. When we went to get the tickets, they said there is a new VIP upgrade available where you can hang out in the Blue Man Lounge before the show and after the show where there is a meet and greet with one of the Blue Men. I wasn't sure if it was appropriate for my brother since he was a minor but the girl said it's for the whole family. I was SSSOOOO happy I decided to do it.

For $20: we got into the lounge an hour before the show (which is really cool with all kinds of Blue Man video playing on the walls), we each got our own copy of the program which is normally like $10, then two drinks each. Both of mine were alcoholic while his was a Rob Roy. It was amazing as there were only three other people in there. The show was almost sold out so it was great getting to chill in this lounge and then get taken right to our seats moments before the show started. No dealing with the crowd!!
Then after the show we went back up and one of the Blue Men came out to meet us. He even talked to us! The bartender said that wasn't normal, that he prob did it since there was only 5 of us in there. We got some awesome pics, talked about our mutual fav football team, the Buccaneers!

I HIGHLY recommend this if you want an above and beyond Blue Man experience!!!!

EDIT: Sorry, I was excited, I should clarify: The $20 to get in gets you into the lounge, 2 drinks (alcoholic or non, your choice), your own program, and meet and greet with a Blue Man.

Myself (25), my sister (21), and my parents (mid-40's), saw it last year and it was amazing!!!!!! I think the problem that with the show for people who are on the fence about it, is that it's so hard to describe. It's not like Cirque, "oh it's an acrobatics show" or a luau "hula dancing and food." It's just so eccentric that it's hard to describe sometimes.

But we loved it, and are totally ready to see it again. Would highly recommend for adults & children.

I have to tell you - I had seen their special on tv and was not impressed, but then I attended a conference where one of the vendor events was an evening at the Blue Man Group show. OH MY!! What a difference being live made! It is a fantastic show! Have a great time!

I've seen BMG in Vegas and NYC. Both shows were excellent! It's hard to describe - part concert, part art, part performance theatre.

There are lots of unexpected things that happen in the show. Hope no one spoils them for you before you see it.

You WILL enjoy it! Guaranteed!

It's like watching fireworks on tv, it's not the same as being there. :thumbsup2

How long is the show? I'm wondering if it'll keep the attention of my 5 year old? I will prob stay at the hotel with the 2 year old, so if the 5 year old gets restless and they have to leave, that would ruin it for DH and our 9 y.o. The 5yo does really well at the movies and other live shows that are kid oriented, would this be kid friendly enough?
