I just booked the BC and the Poly for Dec. Will they BOTH be rehabbed then?

Geez... my first time in a Deluxe!

I'm thinking about changing form the BC to the YC to avoid rehab. Does anyone have info about the Poly rehab? When is scheduled? What is going to be rehabbed? I requested the Niue building, and with my luck....

Thanks for any info!:

They are redoing all the longhouses a few at a time. They should be done with Fiji and Aotearoa and moving on to Niue, Samoa, or Rarotonga. The construction is not very noticable when you are staying there. It took me a few days into the trip before I realized they were being worked on. There will be plenty of other great locations open when you go. I would not worry.

I have just updated my web pages to have separate pages showing every longhouse so you may want to take a look to see where else you may want to stay. If you go over to the buildings they are working on now they should be all new inside. They even ripped out the floors.

The link is below my name.

I'm going to change my request to the Fiji building.

Since we plan on spending lots of time at the resort this trip, I think it makes sense to change.

Do you think the Fiji building would be a good location for a garden view room for my family (me, DH plus 11yo, 8 yo and 3yo)? We'd like to be near pool, beach and GCH.

I surely do appreciate your sage advice! Your Polynesian page is my new bible!

Thanks in advance!

I think Fiji is great but I think Tokelau is even better. If you get Fiji you will be happy but Tokelau would be my choice of garden view. Either one you may get a partial view of the lagoon from the side and Fiji rooms will be nice and new. I guess the good thing is that there are many great locations so even if you don’t get your request you may be happily surprised with where you end up. I would say there are very few rooms at the Polynesian I would not want to end up in. Most are great so your chances are good.
