I just went to the Disney Web Site as a fluke and was able to book our 2008 trip to WDW for the last full week of April.. I didn't notice much of a difference in the prices for Disney itself, but holy cow are airline prices expensive!!! What we found was for 4 adults on a non-stop flight from Boston to Orlando was over $4000 :scared1: :scared1: . And the whole cost had to be paid upfront.. Needless to say we left that part out of our package. We can always add the airfare on later when the prices go down.

I am so psyched.. This will be my DBIL's first visit to WDW and mine, DH's and DS9's 3rd year in a row

holy cow! $4,000 for air! that's way more than our upcoming trip to poly with dining and park hoppers!! great idea to wait on that part :)

have fun planning!

Hi there!
Congratulations on making your reservation!!! DH and I are going in Feb. We're on the look out for a good price on airfare from Boston to Orlando too. Please post if you find anything and I'll do the same!! :thumbsup2

You got it.. The airfare prices have to come down. DH & I are booked on a cruise in September and our total cost for round trip/non-stop airfare was $400. Last year we paid around $250/person for our trip to WDW. I am hoping they are this high just because it's more then 8 months out. I really don't want to do anything but a direct flight (I hate flying)

Have a great time with your vacation!

Fly out of Manchester or Providence on SWA. It offers a lot of time options, is always non-stop, and is cheaper than Logan usually (parking and airfare).

The airfare is so high because you are more than eight months away from your trip. Just keep checking (lower rates be released around October) and you will find something.

FYI, the best times to check rates are Tuesday and Wednesday mornings for most carriers.

Prices will probably be higher next year because of oil / fuel prices, but you should find something reasonable (say $250-400).

Good luck! :yay:

Fly out of Portland, Maine. Airtran nows has a daily non-stop flight out of Portland and a daily non-stop back. Prices start at $104. one way. Check their site. That's how we're going in April, 2008.

That's what I figured.... Usually we book 1-2 months in advance so the flights weren't that expensive. This year we wanted to book in plenty of time and to have a longer time to pay the vacation off..

We definately want to go with airline that is part of the Magical Express Service (we wouldn't do it any other way :) ) and we actually like flying out of Boston as we've had great success. But we might look into flying out of ManchVegas as it's the same distance there as it is to Boston. We usually take the C&J Bus from Portsmouth to Boston cause it's so easy and relaxing.. Not sure if they go to ManchVegas or not. will have to look into that. Also we are hearing rumors that a new airline might be coming into Pease that will flying direct to Orlando.. though that's just a rumor at this point :ssst:

Dh and I just booked round trip to Orlando in Sept. for $274.00 for the two us out of Manchester,SWA.

Not necessarily, though. I booked our airfare in April for January and pd 238 per person, nonstop flight from Hartford to MCO.

So OP, definitely check out other airports nearby. I think kayak.com has the feature that you can check nearby airports, too.

Thanks for the tips!! We might give RI a try. We've never flown from there, so it might be worth a try. Does SWA participate in the Magical Express?

Gosh, I love planning these trips!!:wizard:

I am going this Oct, but I wanted to see what Iwould be saving if I had gone on original dates in March. My difference was 1,000.00 for MYW plus dining.:scared1:

I am glad I am going this fall, or we would have to change resorts.

I am glad that the rates did come out for all of you who are excited to book. Congrats to everyone!!:yay:

Not to turn this into a Boston/New England thing here (Go SOX!) but I do want to recommend SWAVacations if you are planning a trip out there. At least consider it. Of course, the problem is they don't go that far out on the calendar.

I booked last year's trip to WDW for August during the free dining promotion and they took care of everything. I crunched every number possible and this was the best deal I could find online. They offered the free dining package on their website as well as Magical Express. Plus, for Manch, the direct flight and # of options of flights was great. We went down at the crack of dawn(I think it was a 6:20 flight or something) and were in the parks for lunch. And on the way back, we took like a 8pm or 9 pm flight home, so we could spend a good chunk of time on our last day touring as well (adding one day on a pass is like $4 extra a day, well worth it!). I was in bed by 1 am and sadly, at work the next day.

Woo Hoo! I am so happy that you booked your trip! We haven't booked anything yet. I am still not sure that we will get to go this year. We had some things come up financially so we didn't think that we would be able to go in 2008, but it looks like a maybe now! I can't wait to go back! Have a magical trip! If we go it will be in April too! April is a wonderful month to go!:)

I keep hinting to DW to plan our 08 trip. She keeps changing the subject.

DW thinks I need to join a support group and get help. :lmao: She think I'm addicted to the DIS:disrocks:
