Is it the mention of the poorly designed promenade and wistful mention of how it used to be that is the problem?
Or is it the fact that others want to assert that there are possible options, typically less ideal to the writer, instead of just not commenting at all.
It’s also hard not to sound like you’re pushing an agenda when giving opinions. It’s one if the drawbacks of forums.
I saw the direction of the thread about the pier at LC and just didn’t keep reading the posts. I don’t think there was a winner or conclusion, but I hope those who did comment felt they got the chance to express themselves.
I view these forums as an opportunity to have conversations about something many of us enjoy - cruising and related travel. Perhaps others in one’s circle don’t hold the same interest and they drop in here for a chat or the latest news. Some drop in for recommendations. Those new to Disney cruising (and even not new) often are looking for information.
Sometimes we just want to get something off the chest. Find out we’re not the only ones that feel this way.
As I stated earlier, also hoping that our rumblings find their way to powers that make decisions.
If this were an issue that was determined by Congress, we would create a postcard and have everyone mail it to their respective representative. (It’s fascinating to see that mail come in to a Senator’s office in DC.) I would love for us to have a similar way to communicate with
DCL. Other than a select few who do random surveys.
I am actually afraid they had inked the blueprints for the new ships before they made the big announcement at
D23 this Summer. Maybe not. But I fear they probably won’t give us a one-level Promenade. Maybe if the ship designer was a runner…
