My husband, myself and my parents are hoping to stay at the CBR in mid November. We have annual passes and would like to take advantage of the discounts offered, but I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone on the phone for reservations. I would appreciate any info you all can give me about how soon the discounts are made available and how much they usually are. Thanks so much in advance.

I don't think annaul pass rates are out for November. You could regularly check mousesavers.com for up-to-date info.

Not sure if it's permitted on these boards, but I would recommend booking now through Dreams Unlimited (on-line) and then allow them to check (when the AP rates are out) if they can get you a discount. They are more adept at it than regular people. If successful (as I have been) you just receive an e-mail confirming the new rate - you don't have to do anything yourself! I have had two vacations booked through them and have been very satisfied with no inconvenient phoning to CRO.

Waiting for AP rates can be an ordeal. They are only out through some time in April now. They usually come out about 2 months ahead of time. We are hoping for something in June but it's never guaranteed. Like #1MMFan, we book through Dreams Unlimited and they watch for the discounts for us. Good luck but it's way too soon for November AP discounts to be available.

I have to agree with the 2 previous posts: Dreams is great! They contacted me with all the discounts that were available, codes and AP.

Welcome to the boards! I checked on the mousesavers.com website to look up the dates when AP rates have been released for your time period. on 7/5/01 the AP room only rates were released for check-ins from 10/4-12/25/01. On 7/28/02 the AP room only rates were released for check-ins from 10/3-12/25/02.

So it looks like you'll be waiting until sometime in July (but no guarantee things will be the same) to call about AP rates. Usually there are many people here waiting for those rates to be released and they are many posts announcing the release. If you already have your room booked you can just keep checking back when the time gets closer to July. Or as others have suggested, try Dreams if you want someone else to keep checking for you.

I have a question. If you make your reservations in advance (either by yourself or through an agent) and a discount/code comes out, does it apply to the reservations you already have or do you have to make new ones? I am in the beginning stages to planning my trip and trying to get as much info as I can. Thanks

Discounts aren't automatic --they depend on availability. Only Disney knows how many rooms will be offered at discount rates and when they're going to choose to make them available. You can request that a discount be applied to a current reservation, and in many, many cases this will be available and work out fine. BUT, there's no guarantee that it will be available for the exact dates and resort you want. Flexibility is a great help. AP discounts seem to be 30-45% (this is a very general statement, based on observation over the past several years) and depends on the season and other factors that only Disney knows.

The benefit of reading this board frequently and continuously is that you'll hear about discounts as soon as they're available. There's always a better chance of getting a discount is you call ASAP. Sometimes the discounts rates seem to get booked pretty quickly, and other times there seems to be availablility almost up until the last minute. In the past few years, Disney has had various ways of handling discounts, so there's no guarantee that any of us know what's going to happen by fall

Sometimes, there have been other discounts that are almost as good as AP rates (including manager's specials), so keep your eyes open. Happy discount huting and hope you have a great trip!

If Disney decides to release ap discounts for November they probably won't come out until late summer or early fall. If I were you I'd go ahead and book the room at the regular rate, give your deposit, and then you can get a rate adjustment later if a code comes out.

The AP rates for November probably won't be released until some time this summer, if history repeats itself. I know the watching and waiting can drive you crazy!

I am going in November as well and I am also waiting for discount codes to come out. I am currently booked at POR for 7 nights at a rate of $118.64. CRO said that discounts codes should be out in July or August. I am hoping to split between POR and a deluxe resort. This waiting is driving me crazy!!!!!

Thank you all for your help. I guess there's nothing I can do but sit and wait. It's hard enough just waiting for the vacation to get here, so I am right there with you going crazy! I'd love to hear more about Dreams Unlimited if anyone else has had any experience with them, good or bad.
