I hope I made the right decision...

about two years ago I fell down 15 stairs carrying a bunch of glass things. My foot slid off the top step and the glass fell out of my hands and broke and I rolled into it on my left side. The glass stuck itself in my legs and shreded my stomach. There is nothign scarier than falling down stairs. Nothing. I knocked my head around a bit but that really didn't set in until the next morning. We were more worried about the cuts.

I'm glad hes okay.

I guess I should preface this by saying I worked for 3 years in a pediatric ER when I was a nursing student and among my duties there I "held" literally hundreds of children while surgeons placed stitches in their heads.

So years later, when my own son gashed his head open above his eyebrow, off we went to the ER, and I spent the whole ride explaining to him what would happen with stitches placement, etc. He was so afraid, yet trying to be brave...

Imagine my surprise when the doctor "glued" my son's head back together - while he slept on the stretcher! Turns out this is what they often use now for superficial wounds. Bandaid makes this liquid glue product to buy OTC, I always have plenty on hand now and use it for good size gashes (after cleansing the wound).

I hope your son is feeling better tonight, that's scary.
