I heard a rumor

I really hope they bring back the peoplemover, I have great memories of my family on the old peoplemover! Now that I have kids, I want them to experience the Peoplemover ride.. I think its a great Family Ride!

Oh, how I dream of the day we get an updated version of the old Peoplemover. It really was great to just put up your feet and relax and wind down while getting a pleasant aerial tour of Tomorrowland. Sure, it wasn't the most exciting ride, but it wasn't supposed to be. When I go to WDW, I make certain that I ride TTA as much as I can because I miss it at DL, and I know there are lots of others who feel the same. You can go to the WDW boards and see how much everyone loves that ride, as simplistic as it is! Tomorrowland at DL is really missing the kinetic energy that it used to have...it is no longer "a world on the move". :sad2:

The old track was not designed to handle a ride like Rocket Rods, but they wanted to go cheap and built it anyway. Obviously they regretted it later. IMHO, that ride was only fun if you were in the front, and the only fun part was the takeoff. All the other places that it felt like it was about to pick up speed, it would have to slow down because the track simply could not handle it.

I hope that they are not unless they make it a little better. All I remember about the ride is that it took forever to get on and once you did that it was so fast and nothing really that fun. It came and went so quick! I hate myself right now for talking bad about a disney ride but I really disliked that one, hope it gets better!

When ex-h and I went to DL (pre-kids) we waited in an eternal line for Rocket Rods. We joked it was "The Line Ride" where we would get to the end of the line and find that there was no ride, just a really long line. Honestly we waited about 2 hours for that ride. And once we got on it, all it did was go really fast, slow down, go really fast, slow down, lather rinse repeat. SO not worth the time we spent in line. I would rather see the People Mover (TTA) return. That was one of my favorite rides as a kid. My own kids do better on new rides when they have a glimpse at them ahead of time (thank you youtube) and that would be a great glimpse at some potentially scary rides without actually being a scary ride.
