I know I've seen this discussed before, but, I just went (with our family of six) to a NFL game saturday night. I could not believe they were charging $4.00 for a bottle of water!!! I can't stand it when people complain to me that Disney is SOOOOO expensive and try to make me feel like I'm either wasting my money by going to WDW or that I have to defend Disney in a debate.

I think if Disney can make a profit on $2.00 or $2.50 for a bottle of water, then $4.00 should be considered price gouging.

Hi, I was just thinking the same thing. Hello from a fellow Nashuan.

..... not to mention that most or all NFL teams charge FULL PRICE for a preseason game and the starters play maybe 1/4 of it. Now THAT'S price gouging.

Try a baseball game they're almost as bad. Went to the Red Sox game the other day and spent almost $300 for DW and I. Still worth it to see them clobber the White Sox. Maine :firefight

My DS and I have found it is more expensive to eat and drink at a Ball Park or other Amusement Park than Disneyland or WDW. Disney (depending on where you eat) is not unfairly priced. We have AP's and there are times that we may be on a budget pay period but we can go down to Disneyland for the evening and have a really good counter service dinner for around $20 bucks. Desert is around $3.00 for an ice cream. You can't beat that for an enjoyable evening with your kid. :flower:

I was thinking the same thing about the movies the other night. We haven't been to the movies in a long time, but we had a babysitter, so we decided to go. We noticed they were charging $3.75 for a bottle of water. I, of course, had to point out to dh that WDW bottled water is cheaper. We also spent about $8 on one soda and one popcorn. OUCH!!

And if that makes you mad - stop and think about how many members of the crowd are writing off their trip to the game as a "business expense".

Even if you decide it's too expensive for you to attend - you still pay more in taxes to subsidize their little trip to the game.

And if you pay taxes in the town the stadium is in you might want to ask how much you are paying to subsidizie the owners.
