That's how I started out....wearing glasses just for distance and driving.
I guess it just went downhill from there.......at age 23 I needed them 24/7 and that's when I went to contacts. Used to wear them all the time, even took naps in them. Then I became allergic to a preservative in the contact solution called Thimerosol. The veins in my eyes hemorrhaged! Couldn't wear contacts for over a month after that, had to see a special eye doctor that specialized in chemical splashes of the eyes. What an ordeal that was!
I don't think they even use Thimerosol in solutions anymore because so many people had bad allergic reactions.
Now I find myself too lazy to put in the darned contacts. My eyes are now so sensitive (don't know if it had anything to do w/the reaction I had years ago or not) that it's difficult to find a pair that's actually comfortable, and I wear a very high water based soft contact as it is, and only for about 4 hours. Then I can't wait to pull those suckers out!
I just wear them now to dress up functions like parties, weddings, etc.
To work and around the house it's transitions glasses--the kind that get darker in sunlight, then lighten up indoors, love them!
Good luck to ya, I voted contacts because you are such a pretty girl. Glasses could be fun for a new look every now and then, but I think you'd do good w/contacts.
