I hope know one takes offense to this, because everyone does whats best for their own financial position.
We have reservations for the CSR resort in November, but due to scheduling problems with flights, we are now leaving a day earlier. The issue is we are staying at the all-star sports resort for the one day/night. My question is this. Is there ANY chance that our DS8 will not want to leave that property, or want to go back there after we leave to Go to the CSR?
I know that I have read where kids love the all-star resorts and I would hope that by us staying there to save an extra $70.00 for the night, it does not become a problem.

Any thoughts?

TIA

We visited CSR last time we went to WDW and I have to say it's a nice resort. Honestly I think every resort is great and has things kids would love to do. When we first went to WDW we stayed at Poly (I was 11 at the time) when we decided to go to WL in '99 I was upset because I loved the Poly but when we got there I fell in love with that resort too. If your child doesn't want to leave he may change his mind once you get to CSR. Have fun!

We were doing a split stay... can't remember which resorts. But I remember going down stairs and told the CM at the front desk that we really like the resort and we want to stay for x more nights and that we want to cancel the other resort. So the CM checked to see if there's any rooms available so we can stay more nights there. Luckily there was, so I cancelled the other room. No problem there. And we ended up keeping the same room we were in. Just make sure that there is room available at the ASR if you want to stay extra nights before you cancel the CSR.

When I called CRO to cancel, they never charged me for penalty. I just tell them that I am here at Disney and explain to them that I just happen to enjoy the resort a lot and I want to stick with it and want to cancel the other resort. I have done this a couple of times. My mind flip flop sometimes...

Just present it to him that he'll love both resorts. :wizard: (And if that doesn't work tell him he'll have a slide in the pool at CSR but not ASSp). ;)

When you get to CSR, take him to the pool with the giant and the dig site.

He won't want to go back to the AS. :rotfl2:

that's something you just cannot guarantee... my kids LOVED pop century... were disappointed when we went to POFQ instead this year... they enjoyed themselves and had a blast in the pool but when asked where they want to stay next trip the answer was POP hands down! add to that the last two nights at AKL, which was my *BIG* surprise for the kids... thought i was the coolest greatest mom on earth... well, somehow they "knew" and it was not the big deal we thought it would be... by far... they said they LOVED POP, LIKED POFQ and AKL was OKAY! go figure!

all that to say to the OP that i believe your concern is valid and you have right to be concerned... perhaps you should stay at a fleabag motel offsite that first night just to be sure your ds will want to move hotels :rotfl: :rotfl2:

All Stars are cute and just fine and tell him he'll enjoy looking at it all your first day. But show him photos of CSR (lots out there) and all that they have to offer. He'll be very excited to go there. My kids favorite moderate, even when younger (and it first opened).

He'll have a great time with the awesome slide into a large pool with a pyramid, fun playground area, two arcades, bike rentals and boat rentals.
