We are going too DL next Thursday Oct 15th..... I have a plan so we will manage with or without crowds.

I know the park is scheduled to be open late....So far crowd reports during the week don't sound too awful.

We leave in a week. We'll be in DCA the 15th, 'til it closes then DL that night, then 10/16 all day in DL. I'm expecting it to be crowded, but not insane. What do you think?

We're in AZ and our kids are on Fall break this week. I think there will be a lot of that type of visitor. Trying to avoid DL on the weekend, but I know Friday will likely be crazy too!!

Even croweded it'll still be magical!! Can't wait!!!

This week until the weekend will be fine. Then next week should be pretty crazy. After that up until halloween should be moderate, except for weekends which will be busy. Enjoy your visits to DL

Why is it a crazy week? I know monday is a holiday but I am thinking (and hoping) that tuesday, wednesday and thursday won't be too bad?

I've heard next week a lot of kids have the whole week off so it tends to by busier during the week than normal. I guess lots of Utah families go? I think most schools in CA don't get a week break until Nov.

The week of the 11th-17th is arizona fall break. Then on thursday uea begins. Choc walk that weekend and you already mentioned the holiday monday. Throw in the usual amount of tourist for this time of year...So yes, that all equals busy! I think tuesday and wednesday should be slightly less busy than thursday. Either way you'll enjoy your visit!

Actually UEA was last weekend. But, a lot of Utah schools didn't have UEA off this year and have a "Fall Break" starting Oct. 15. Some districts will be out only the 15 and 16, but some will also add the Monday (19) as a Professional Development Day. Our kids have Oct. 15 and 16th off this year - not UEA.

We have been to DLR over a Utah Fall Break/UEA (Utah Educators Association Convention) time and the parks are crowded.

I'm glad I remembered that when deciding which week to go! I don't mind busy but I've been in some pretty thick crowds where its impossible to get anywhere and all lines including for food at at least an hr long. No fun!

What about the last week of October? Meaning the week of halloween? Change of plans for him since he needs to stay for doctors appointments. -.- PLEASE NO PACKED PARKS. I can't stand waiting in line for rides... very impatient man.

what does busier than expected mean????? I'm expecting pretty busy. I went over pres day wknd in 08 and it was busy but waits for most rides were only 20-30min included PotC and HM but some bigger rides as usual were 1- 1.5hrs. Is that what you measn by busier than expected? Or do you mean you have to keep your elbows out to get anywhere?

What did they extend the hours to?

They were open an extra hour Mon-Thrus ( our last night )

Ride wait times weren't horrible. Thursday seemed packed but other then Haunted Mansion and Space Moutain the waits were 1-20 minutes.

I'm not sure there really is an off season anymore.

I can't recall this ever happening on a regular Friday. October is definitely NOT "off season" anymore...

Today is the start of a 3 day holiday weekend for many people (Monday is Columbus Day), so that might explain the increased crowds. Because of that, this Friday might be different than the usual Fridays.

This was true! We were there Thur. & Fri. We left at 7:30pm Friday and the park was already full.

we will be there the 27th and 28 or 28th and 29th. I am hoping it is not that busy. We are not doing the TOT party this year.

I can confirm it was really crowded Friday 10/9 evening - not sure it closed down but the crowds really picked up after dark. We rode Space a couple of times with FastPass and we saw the wait time up to 105 minutes! That was the most we had seen the 3 days we were there. Btw, Ghost Galaxy is awesome!
