I have the resort booked, tickets, now what???

We are heading to Disneyland Hotel late Sunday August 1st and enjoying 3 days in the park (Mon-Wed) and leaving to return back east on Thursday.

I have the resort booked, and 3 day park tickets....now what do I need to plan?

Want to see Aladdin for sure. Do I need to plan anything for that?
Also, might want to do one character meal...not 100%sure.
We have been to WDW many times, new to DL
Kids ages 14 and 12

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give.

Read Read Read!! The posts here have kept me busy for weeks getting ready for our July trip...Fast Pass info, character meals, a thread for WDW new to DL, suggestions for touring with large crowds. I have learned so much. On the trip planning section, read how other folks vacation scheduled are shaping up. There may be some helpful ideas there for your family.

For Aladdin, there are numerous shows. Just check the schedule you get for the Parks at the entrance gate and get there 30-45 min early.

I second the read read read suggestion, find out what Character Meal you might want to do, study up on Fast Passes etc
