I have such a nice neighbor

we had about 3-5" of snow and ice on top of it..hubby had to be at work for 7 so we only cleared the top of the driveway..my nice neighbor is out there plowing the rest, including the bottom where the plows dumped all the slush/ice/snow overnite..there have been so many threads about not so nice neighbors, I thought I would post one about my oh so nice ones!
oh yeah..he did this before he even did his, and he did the driveways of the 2 older ladies who live on the side and in back of me too!

Seven or eight years ago, my DH worked out of state all winter, and my neighbor and his son frequently plowed my driveway, which I appreciated immensely. I made sure to get them a restaurant gift certificate.

Now, we are able to do the same for him occasionally, as the son has married and moved out, and our neighbor is older, I will sometimes send my now teenaged sons over to help him.

We have a great neighbor, and to me, that's what neighbors are all about!

Aww, that's so nice. I had a neighbor like that when I lived in MA. She knew I had back problems, as did her husband, and during one storm I caught her clearing the end of my driveway. That's the area where the worst of the snow/ice is. I thanked her over and over.

The neighbors I have here are OK but that street had some of the best neighbors I've ever had.

My DH loves playing in the snow with his snowblower!!! He will snowblow our entire town block. The elderly widows will come out and try to give him money, which he always refuses. A few years ago when he did this, a case of beer showed up on our back porch !!!!!

But he had to be at work at 2:30 this morning and won't be home until noon or after, probably after since the roads are bad. Our neighbor is out with his snowblower and I am praying that he does our front walk!!!! He probably will, we have GREAT neighbors on both sides of our house.

When it snows I always do our entire block on the front sidewalk and most of the back alley with our Blower.Then go over a block and do Aunties house for her. If I'm really in a mood I'll go and hit the churches sidewalks as well.

We live on a snow emergency route so I will go and clear an area on the side hill for our 4 vehicles.

I don't shovel anything I can't get up with the blower so our neighbors take care of our front on days like today with the ice and DM throws out some salt.

This would be my mom and dad's neighbors. There are 4 families that have lived there for 30+ years and a 5th family that has been there for 20 years, they are all in their late 60's up to the the late 80's. They each take turns snow blowing the drive ways. I got over to my parents this morning and dad had just gotten done cleaning his drive and was blowing out the road, getting over to the drive accross the street.

That is so nice. My neighbor did the same thing yesterday. I was making the boy's lunch and I looked out the window and he was over with his snowblower.

We have great neighbors, too! One took the snowblower to the block and another was shoveling our walkway!

2 of my neighbors pushed me this morning when I backed my car out of my space and then promptly got stuck.

I have a secret snowblower 1 of our neighbors across the street (not sure which one) always does the end of the drive when we get a big snowfall. I haven't figured out which house it is in 7 years!!!! Weird situation! One family must think we're great neighbors because they BOTH keep getting brownies when it snows

We have great neighbors too! One has an ATV with a small snow shovel attached and he goes up and down the sidewalks, clearing everyone's walk. The other has a snowplow attached to his truck and clears parking spaces when he can.
