I have relented and here's my itinerary!

I tried and tried NOT to make an itinerary for my upcoming trip. I was going to play it loose, but I am obsessive and just couldn't do it....so here it is! Any comments or suggestions?

Leave Burlington Tuesday, January 27, 7:20 am.
Arrive Orlando 12:05 pm.

Car rental - Alamo (4 door compact for $186, incl all tax and fees, for 9 days.)

Drive to my parents' home in Oxford (50 minutes from WDW).

Spend 3 days there, on Friday drive 2 hours south to in-laws, spend 1 day there, returning to Oxford on Saturday night.

Sunday, Feb 1 (the fun begins!) -

Drive to Orlando with my parents. They HATE Disney and my goal is to make them see how fabulous it can be if you just "take it slow and easy."

I need to buy an AP pass before check-in. I may pick one up at the airport...haven't figured that out yet!

Check in to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Since parents are with us and I am trying to impress, I will request an upgrade (and offer to pay, but if it's free, I will take it) at check-in.

Since it's supposed to rain this day, I am debating whether we should just stay at the Lodge, eat an early dinner at Boma, watch the Super Bowl and Survivor...or head into one of the parks. If it's later, we may go to Epcot and see Illuminations. Don't know yet.

Monday, Feb 2 -

Morning - my parents get to pick any park except MGM because we are going to Fantasmic in the p.m.

Lunch - I will suggest a late lunch:

if Epcot - Biergarten

if MK - either Crystal Palace, LLT, or maybe go over to WL or FT Wilderness.....,

if AKL - Tusker House or Flame Tree BBQ - is there anything else besides Rainforest Cafe?)

then return to the hotel for rest before seeing Fantasmic. They have never seen it and I know they would love it.

Tuesday, Feb 3 -

Morning - If parents are still around, they can pick the park again...and we will have another late lunch like yesterday, then return to the hotel for rest.

Evening - MK for SPECTRO AND WISHES!!

Wednesday, February 4 -

Check out of AKL. Our flight leaves at 6:20 pm, so we have most of the day to spend at WDW. I don't know what we will do. Probably just figure out what we missed and go for it.

Leave WDW at 3:30 pm....boo hoo.

Flight leaves MCO at 6:20, arrive back in Burlington Vt at 11:35 pm.

Back to work on Thursday and finish planning my 2 week trip in April! Woo Hoo.

Looks okay for a quiet easy trip. The only thing I am worried about is the possibility that your parents will say to the park decision "I don't care" type response. You indicated they are not fond of it. Why not make the days a little more set in stone for them and get the PS's made with WDW-DINE before you leave. You know what they will like or not and have it a little more set up without having to make PS's while visiting with your family.
