I have no words...

I kept scrolling and scrolling and scrolling when the article was long over in hopes it was a terrible joke. How sad. For the owner/father to say he had no clue about the commercial is a way for him to attempt to save face. He knew what was going on, but he's trying to stay clear of it all.

After 9-11, I clearly remember having conversations with others wondering if there would ever come a time when 9-11 wouldn't mean much to others. At that time, it seemed unfathomable. I think we've hit that time. :sad2:

I get trying to do humor that other people dont think is funny at all :p, but hey the best humor is cutting edge but they clearly missed the mark, but I wouldnt hold it against them

I'm a huge believer in free speech and that people ought to have the ability to speak publicly as they see fit. This, however, is the perfect example of "just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD." This woman and her team are.... Lots of words I can't use here.

He issued an apology. Still claims no knowledge of it ahead of time, but he's accepting responsibility since it's his company.

Whether he is sincere or just reacting to the backlash is debatable.

The owner did say the store location would be closed indefinitely and issued an apology.

Ya know there things in history that are just too horrific and traumatic that are a no go for any sort of downplaying or joking/having fun stuff like this. 9/11 is one of them.

I watched that commercial like I would a horror movie. My hands covered my face almost the entire time.

Absolutely disgusting.
