I have borrowing points questions

When I can I make a reservation on borrowed points?
Do I tell MS that my reservation is going to be on borrowed points?
Can I borrow points every year and still go every year? (till some point in the future when we skip a year to get back in line)

I think those are my questions for now. thanks

here is what I am trying to figure out...
I want to use 2004 points for a trip in May and then borrow 2005's points for a trip in Sept.
then can I still travel in 2005 ? thanks

You can borrow points only when making a reservation. If you don't have enough points for what you're trying to reserve, you will have to borrow points from the next Use Year. MS will handle all of the details to accomplish this. They will also warn you that borrowing is not a reversible procedure and the points borrowed cannot be returned to their original Use Year.

You can borrow every year up to the limits of the points available.
