for my question. (I am a newbie here ) Here goes: I just have a question about timeshares? Is any one familiar with Interval International? we have a timeshare through them and I just had some questions for anyone who is familiar with their Disney resorts. We are taking a trip next May and we have requested one of the resorts at Disney. We were told that it is like impossible to get one. We knew it would be hard, but we figured, we have time. So, my question is: Is it really that hard to get into one of these five resorts, especially since we are doing this 1 year in advance? Thanks in advance!!

Hi Sarah, and welcome to DISboards!

I'm no expert on timeshare stuff, but from what I've read...

You may be able to trade for a DVC Resort if you are not looking for peak times, have something good to offer for exchange, and are flexible on DVC Resorts.
I also believe 2br villas are rare on the exchange block.

Well, we have already deposited our week with our timeshare and we put in a request for one of the 5 Disney resorts. If worse comes to worse, we will just get into a resort that isn't within the "Disney walls." Last year, we stayed at the Westgate Vacation Villas and the Westgate Town Center and we were satisfied with both of those resorts. Thank you for your reply.

Hi Sarah. Welcome! I can't help with your question but I have a suggestion. You might want to edit the title of your post to something like "Exchanging into DVC through II" or something along those lines. There are several regulars here who own other timeshares in addition to DVC who might be able to advise you. You just need a new title for your post that will be sure to catch their attention.
