(Sorry I lost the post) but did I share this with you before?...His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness to you. Hang in there. You are doing great!! Keep on fighting. Yest.I asked my ds to say something encouraging to me - He said Livestrong) and I didnt know Lance Armstrong lived in my house. (Just a little of my strange cancer humor to share with you.:)

I've had a month "off" to recover from radiation. My energy is slowly coming back which I am thankful for as the school year is winding to an end and there are so many activities!

Most importantly I had a follow-up MRI yesterday. I meet with the Doctor tomorrow to learn the results. I will post as soon as I can.

Again, I appreciate your prayers, good thoughts, and support. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Best wishes for good news!! :)

Glad to hear that you are slowly getting your energy back. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hope you hear some good news at the doctors today.

I'm hoping good things for you. I'm glad that you feel better.

Amy, I'm praying for excellent results today.:goodvibes So glad to hear that your energy level is picking up. Best wishes!!:goodvibes

Thanks everyone. The news is good. The doctors hoped to see no growth and the scan did not show any. There were some areas that were still difficult to read due to inflammation caused by the radiation so we need to wait 2 more months to see another scan for more conclusive information. I continue on my medications for now and keep waiting for the next scan and hope to see NO growth in that time period.

When will you have results? I'm praying for you. You are a great source of strength for me. I love your family's humor...we are big on laughter around here too. We have to be with 5 kids...or we'd go crazy...maybe we're already there!!!

Great news Amy!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes Does that mean you're taking oral chemo then? I'm glad the radiation did it's job!:thumbsup2

I hope your energy levels have perked up too. Did you decide to plan a Disney trip? Thanks for updating, I've been thinking of and praying for you and your sweet family.

My nephew was diagnosed with the same type brain tumor in 2001 at the age of 9. He is now 18, still has the tumor, but is doing well. He is under the treatment of the oncologists at Duke in Durham, NC. We were told surgery was not possible at first, but after much radiation and chemo, they finally resulted to surgery and got all they could of it. He was on seizure meds for the entire time, up until recently when they cut it back so much that he hardly takes much for them. Knock on wood, he has not had a seizure in a few years and is doing great. We take each day, month and year at a time and are very grateful for the power of prayer. I would not hesitate to get an opinion from Duke. Like a previous poster stated, if Ted Kennedy used them, they must be good as he could go anywhere in the world if he wanted.

Thank you all for following up with me.

Last week I had one of my dizzy spells, which I have not had since before surgery. It frightened me pretty badly. I haven't felt that bad in a long time.

I am scheduled to visit Dr. Burzynski in Houston next week so I am getting caught up on new tests. I had an MRI Monday morning and a test on my heart yesterday morning. We should have the results in the next day or two.

He may be switching me to some new chemotherapies for solid tumors. It will be an interesting week.

Oh, so sorry to hear about your dizzy spell Amy. I hope they can sort that out, it must have been upsetting for you. Is it a side effect of your medication perhaps? Hang in there and let us all know how your tests turn out! Praying for great results!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Ugh, that dizzy spell must have been really scary. I hope that it's a side effect and that you won't have any more.

Let us know how your appointment goes!

Amy, sorry about the little "bump" in the journey that you have to deal with. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am praying Joshua 1:9 and Jeremiah 29:11 for you. Wishing you all the best always. Remember, you will walk through the fire and not get burned and you will come out as gold!!:)
