I have always had awesome neighbors, type A, but so am I. I mow the lawn every three days this time of year. It makes them happy. I have perfect grass, no weeds, etc. I do have an enclosed pool area and a couple of years ago, as a joke, I gave DH a flock of pink flamingos for Father's Day; 16 in all. My neighbors, the "J's" loved it, and last year gave me a mobile type pink flamingo for the back yard, "behind the fence". When I cleaned out the garage, the pool wasn't opened, so I stuck the pink mobile flamingo out at the corner of the garage. Yup, its tacky, but funny. Tonight all of the neighbors went to a graduation party (college) of one of the kids. Great party! What was the first question? "Why do you have a pink flamingo in front of your house?". I didn't get asked that once, but several times.
Imagine their surprise when I told them that the "J's" gave it to us. :rotfl2:
The "J's" told the other neighbors that it was for the back yard, "behind the fence". I said, "I don't remember you telling me that". We had a great time. We love ALL of our neighbors and feel very lucky to have them. I guess I will move my pink flamingo in the morning. ;)

Cute story and what a blessing to have great neighbors. It's so easy to take good neighbors for granted.......(general) you never realize how fortunate you are to have them until you get a bad neighbor (and one is all that it takes). :)

In our old neighborhood we had a flock of pink flamingos--and a lovely black wreath-- that traveled around whenever someone had a milestone birthday.:thumbsup2

That is so true. I hear about issues with "bad neighbors" so often that it is easy to take them for granted. We had 20 kids on our street that grew up together at different stages. After being here 22 years, we each feel that they are all of our kids.

That's cute!

I can't wait for the holidays. This year we went to a white elephant type party and the "hot" item was a big plastic light up snowman.
So we plan on Snowmaning people at night. Dropping him off at someone's house with the instruction to pass him on after a week. That way everyone that I stole him from at the auction can have some fun with him.

We used the pink flamingos for a "you've been flocked" fundraiser. Asking for a donation to move them off your lawn- it was about 25 flamingos and I thought it was :rotfl2: Not everyone did. - the beyond type a'ers.

I think it's so :rotfl2: that everyone noticed it sitting out by your garage! You could really scare them with a light up palm tree!

Cute story. I generally have pretty nice neighbors...the ones who immediately touch my house are great. Some of the ones beyond that are a bit out there, but they don't impact me too much.
