We are going to florida in september,we are flying out economy and back upper class. I am thinking of changing it to premium econmy both ways for the same price as one way upper class. I have been thinking this for weeks and am really confused as to what to do. What advice can anyone give me.

I love UC but it is very expensive but I hate Economy so as a compromise our last trip in December we decided on PE. I was surprised as it was better than I had expected.....don't get me wrong I would prefer UC but if it means more trips then PE it is. ;) We have booked it again for this September.

If I was in your situation then I would change to PE each way. :thumbsup2

Hmm. I think the most logical choice would be to do PE each way. However, I'm inclined to say you should stick to your plans as UC will be an amazing treat to look foward on the (usually miserable) flight home.

I would choose PE both ways too. I'd be so miserable on the way back I wouldn't be able to enjoy it as it should be enjoyed.

If you're like me and can't sleep sitting upright, I'd definitely stick with your original plans and go for the better night's sleep on the way back. It'll be your last amazing treat before heading back to reality! There's nothing worse than arriving home after a great holiday but feeling utterly exhausted and a bit fed up at being back - going UC means you've extended your holiday that little bit further.

Flying out by economy isn't bad as everyone around you is so excited about where they're headed and you're surrounded by happy people. Also, it being daytime means you can just sit back and enjoy the movies and not worry too much about sleep. I can't sleep on the way out as I'm too excited. :)

Well, Upper Class both ways of course! :rotfl:
Alternatively, you original option of UC on the way back.
If you have a long journey after arriving back in the UK, then this is the only way to go. The sleep however little it is means that you will be refreshed enough to do the journey home

Another vote for UC on the way back - will be great to stretch out and sleep on the way home! :thumbsup2

Yes UC for me too - on the way there I wouldnt care as I would be too excited about getting to WDW  , but having UC on the way home would be much more relaxing - plus it would give you something to look forward to on the way home :thumbsup2

Another vote for UC on the way home. I'm sure on the way you'll be so excited you'd be happy to go by by boat!

However, on the way home all you want to do is get home so to have the bonus of UC would defnitely make it a pleasure.

If you could possibly manage it could you do PE on the way out and UC on the way back?

If your budget won't stretch to that, I'd leave it as it is. UC on an overnight is so much better than PE. Being able to lie down and get a really good, even if relatively short, sleep is well worth the expense.

And as others have said, it extends your holiday another few hours.

I always travel economy and do manage to make myself sleep on the way home with some difficulty. I have often thought enviously of the people in UC being able to lie flat and get a good rest so I would say go UC on the way home.

We were discussing this last night and all agreed that we'd go economy on the way out, if it meant we could fly UC on the return leg... So I'd stick with your original plans... :goodvibes
