I have been pretty sick ever since I came home from my Celebration of Life trip. I did see the transplant team and all of my levels are down, they had to make an adjustment to my meds, etc. However while in Florida I had lost a little over 3 units of blood, So they have me back on those very expensive shot's of Aranesp ($2,000 per shot) I have been taking them weekly, and I hate it, they make me feel llike I have the flu for a few days.

Also, most of you know that I am now visually impaired, less than a few days before heading to Florida, I found out that I would need several eye operation's on each eye. I have had them, however, I now have some sort of cyst, type thing growing over on of my tear duct's, so off to Wills Eye in Philadelphia for that.

I have been very down since I have came home from my trip, etc. I am feeling better and my energy is starting to pick up more. I feel just terribel that I have not yet done a trip report, etc. I have not even put away my things that I had bought while in WDW.

Also , I would very much like to thank Ferlapeg for the wonderful gift basket that she sent me, I was so touched by it, and it was just beautiful. I was able to meet so many of you and all you have touched my heart.

As most of you know I am very busy with writing a book with my endocrinologist and it is going very well. Wow it is also very time consuming, etc. I am planning of heading to the Philadelphia area in the beginning of Oct. I do have my ressie made, and hoping that I will be able to go, business and pleasure.

For now my weekend is going to be of relaxing as I take my shot on Friday's. Gary ask me if i wanted to go out for dinner, I told him, maybe tomorrow, so we will put something on the grill.

Also for all of you Parents out there, I really miss Lauren alot. I enjoyed the time that I got to spend with her in Florida, she was awesome to take care of me, etc. She did it all. What a wonderful young lady my dd has grown up to be. She is doing well in College and is now starting to look at meds school's.

I am all decorated for Fall, and I can not wait until Thanksgiving so she can come home. Thank you everyone for letting me get this off my chest.

My wish is for one day that there is a cure for Diabetes...

Kitty,

I'm sorry to hear your not doing well and I hope you feel better real soon.

Sending some prayers your way. The trip report can wait, take care of yourself first. Good luck with your book! :sunny:

Kitty... :sad1: This post makes me sad. I had hoped things were going smoothly since your trip. I pray that you feel better soon.

I understand about missing your daughter too. Mine graduated this past May from UCF in Orlando and has now moved to Jacksonville. It is a 5 - 6 hour ride away. I don't get to see her much anymore, and it makes me very sad and lonely for her. I know she is doing well, but I feel sad for myself. It is very difficult when your kids actually grow up and are on their own. I had no idea what my own parents went through when we all left home until now. At least I still have one more at home yet, but now I know what is inevitably coming.

I hope your eyes get back to normal soon. So many things you have had to handle, and you always seem to handle them with style and grace. God bless you. :grouphug:

 Hope you feel better soon--you must be so tired after not only your trip but after losing the blood as well.
ETA: Sounds like you have a wonderful, loving daughter and good friends to help brighten your days...Take care of yourself and rest.....

Kitty,

I'm sorry things haven't been going well. I will keep you in my prayers.

:grouphug: hope your numbers turn around shortly. It's not easy feeling green. :grouphug:

I was wondering, you didn't seem your normal perky self. Yes, in spite of everything you are usually pretty upbeat. I just figured the trip may have tired you out some.
Well, I hope these problems get taken care of, like most of the rest and that you'll be doing good again soon. :grouphug:

Kitty you are such an inspiration and you are allowed to feel down at times as well. You had a great trip and made many memories for not only you and your amzing DD but for all the Dis'ers that met you.
Take care of yourself and vent as needed, you of all people deserve it :grouphug: Prayers you start to feel better!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. You always seem to have such a great outlook on life, what a great gift you have to be able to make other people feel good with your words, even when you aren't feeling well.
:grouphug:

You don't know me-I don't know you. Yet, I think of you often. I hope you are feeling better soon. Your post worries me a bit. Please rest all you can. Hugs.
