I have a complex ticket question

And it's too complex for me to come up with the correct search terms to see if it's been brought up so far. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction if this has been discussed, or someone knows. I'm not even sure I can explain it well here and sure don't have a lot of faith to get help on the phone

We have 6 Comp tickets, non-expiring 1 day park hoppers. At one point we had planned to use those on our next trip. So I linked them in to MDE.

However, we revamped our plans and there are not enough of the comp tickets to cover our new trip so we decided to hold on to them for a future trip (also ensures I get my future trip, so I have a motive). We have purchased tickets to use for our upcoming trip. I did that today.

Here in lies the potential issue, place I need help

In MDE it now shows
the comp tickets, assigned to a combo of me and DH
and
6 day ticket, 1 for me, 1 for DH and 1 for DGD

When we arrive and head to our first park how will the system know which ticket to use first?

What do I need to do, if anything, to be certain that our singles are not used and remain there for a future trip?

Is there any benefit to me creating a fictional person on my MDE and assigning the singles to them? I can move them back to DH and I after our trip, if that would be helpful to be safe.

Have Guest Relations set the comp tickets to a "low priority" and
any other tickets that you buy set to the "highest priority,"
and only the high priority tickets will be used, and not the comp tickets.

Having Guest Relations "set the priorities" of tickets is the prescribed way to choose which tickets
will be used.

Thank you!!!!!!! Can I do this once I arrive or should I do it via the phone well in advance?

You can do it after you arrive.

In fact, some guests have the "priority" of tickets changed several different times during a single WDW trip.

Perfect. Exact solution I needed and way easier than I expected it to be. Thank you again.

I haven't actually done this, so I'm not certain how/if it will work, but there is an option in MDE to "deactivate" a ticket or magic band. Couldn't you just deactive the comp tickets and leave only your 6 day passes as active? Then when you're ready to use the comps, just active them. If that works, I would think that eliminates the risk that the CM may not get the priority entered correctly.

Deactivating only deactives the card or band, not the ticket itself. Each piece of media (band or card) is only a link to your MDX profile. Deactivation means that specific card cannot be used, but the other cards or bands assigned to you will still link back to the same information (in this case, both sets of tickets).

Guest relations can easily take care of this issue.

You definitely want to get the priority set BEFORE you get to the park scanner cause fixing the problem afterward is a royal pain...I know.

I was not aware of the priority settings and followed the advice of the CM at the hotel desk that the "system" would know which ticket to use and of course it did not and used the wrong ticket. Fixing the problem involved multiple phone calls and it's still not fixed as a visit to guest relations last week was inconclusive...I will have to return at someday in the future to use a 1 day comp ticket.

So...get the setting done before you enter the park.

Thanks for the advice. I will definetly get it fixed before heading to the park. Luckily we don't have plans to go to the park on our arrival day so I'll have plenty of time to get it squared away.
