I have a cabin upgrade question

If you have been blessed with an upgrade when did you notice it had taken place?

We have been Cat12 GTY for a year now and today I noticed that we were given a CAT 12 number. Is this it.....we didn't get an upgrade???? Is there still hope!????!!!

I was just wondering when you noticed your upgrade. Was it from GTY to different Cat or was it when you got your documents and you saw it was upgraded. Or was it when you got on the boat!

I know we are all hoping for an upgrade.....but I just want to know if I still have a chance!!!

We were on the October 27, 2007 Eastern 7 Day cruise - the one that ran into Hurricane Noel and we didn't get to go to Castaway Cay. We were upgraded from Cat 6 to 4. I thought we weren't getting an upgrade as those DISSERs we were corresponding with were getting notfiied that they were upgraded about a month out - most of them were cat 9 or 10.

I was on the DCL website 2 days before we sailed looking to see if they released any more reservations for Palo. As I was signing off I saw my cabin # had changed from deck 6 to deck 8. No one had called me. So I called them - they said yes I had been upgraded! I'm glad I called because I was then told what to do with my luggage tags. I guess if I didn't go online I would have been informed at check-in - but my bags would have already been misdirected.
