I have a ? about Race for the taste spectators

This will be my first marathon and I am signing up for the Race for the Taste and my DH wants to watch, the website says that the tickets are good for either epcot or animal kingdom (non-hopper). So here is my question, if he wants to watch me at the finish line he would have to use the epcot ticket right? We enjoy AK and he has been wanting to ride EE (he has never been on it yet) so I would much rather go there for the rest of the day any suggestions is there another place he could watch (that wouldnt use that ticket), and since the end is in epcot would that mean that I have to use that ticket as well?

The end of the race is in the parking lot of Epcot so you don't need to use a ticket to see it. DW has watched me start from WWS and then they bussed the spectators over to the end so she was able to watch me finish as well.
