I have a 8:45 ADR at CRT. Is it possible to go in at 7:45. Get in line for 7 dwarfs early and be done with the ride in time for breakfast?

The title says it all. The 4 of us (mom, dad and twins almost 9 year) have a 8:45 reservation at Cinderella's royal table . I am reading that with the reservation we can get into Magic Kingdom at 7:45. If we are able to get up and get out in time is it possible to line up at 7 dwarfs before people start coming in at 8am? If we are one of the first in line can we do the ride and be done in time for an 8:45 breakfast?

You will be entering with onsite guests who have ETPE. What time is the actual park opening the date of your dining reservation? ETPE will be 30 minutes before that.

We need more details before being able to attempt to answer.

I am on site. Actual park opening is at 9am and so if I understand correctly I can enter at 7:45 and the on sight early entry can enter at 8am with the rides open at 8:30.

You would have to be at the very front of the rope going into Fantasyland in order to accomplish this. That line builds extremely quickly.

It would be almost impossible to do this and arrive at your ADR ontime. If you’re wanting to ride SDMT then you would need to wait with the ETPE guests in the hub, hope you can be some if the first in line and on the attraction.

Unless you can switch your ADR to a later time I don’t think these 2 things work on the same day given 8:30 ETPE snd an 8:45 CRT ADR.

Also, where you end up in the ETPE line is really transportation dependant. You would want to be at your resort transportation no later than 7 AM and even then it would be dependant on how many are in line before you and what time your actual vehicle arrives at MK.

Personally, I would just enjoy your breakfast and fit in SDMT another time.

It was our experience in April that nobody got in ahead of the official early entry - even with an 8:00 reservation at CRT. They opened the gates to everyone then. If your reservation is for 8:45, you don’t even need to be let in before early entry at 8:00 to make it there.

They let you in at 8 for an 8 am breakfast?

Yes. Crazy, right? We went to left where the early entry check-ins had been in the past, but they had no idea and just told us to wait until they let everyone in. I think the issue is that the amount of people with pre-park opening reservations is small compared to what it had been, so they aren’t really worried about staffing and logistics to let in a handful of CRT breakfast reservations. It’s probably like 5 tables a day with reservations that early?

That's still crazy. I need to find out if this is typical so I can decide if it's worth going for that time.

Maybe as more things are running again they will have a dedicated line or something - it looks like BBB starts taking reservations at 8.

I’m sure this was a unique treat on our day, but actually getting to breakfast was a hot mess. You know how in the hub you went to the left for PPO breakfasts? There was a woman holding an arrow sign there with the arrow pointing towards Tomorrowland and wouldn’t let us in. Said we had to go with everyone else in early entry. Fine. So we head that way, but we can see it’s almost a holding point and no way to get to the castle. So we ask, and they said no, can’t get to breakfast that way but no idea how to go. So we bounced around to every point in the hub by the castle. They wouldn’t let us in but also didn’t know how we should go. We found another group having the same problem, and the guy was heated. Not sure how, but he just kind of pushed in and we followed suit. I’m pretty sure the woman with the breakfast sign had it pointing the wrong was and was confused, but not the most magical start to the day. Haha! It all worked out in the end though. And I’m sure that was just a fluke. But it does go with my theory that they just had no idea what to do with people who needed to be in a certain part of the park before it was opened to everyone.

Thanks for sharing. I'm still trying to decide what to do. What a mess. Not at all a magical start to your day!

Even if you were at the front of the huge group of early entry guests, you would have a hard time making it through the ride in time. You would waste an extra hour of your morning just to try to be at the head of the line. The vast majority of the people in line at early entry want to do exactly what you want, get to the mine ride as fast as possible. IMO, the odds of failure are high and just not worth the trouble.. :)

I'm not one to advocate for being late to appointments but just be late. It'll only be a matter of less than 30 minutes. I've been late to ADRs and it's never been a problem. Don't stress over an ADR. Ride the train and then go to the castle.

I've waited longer than 30 minutes for an ADR too.

I'm wondering if anyone has been denied an ADR for being a few minutes late.

Could you purchase a $LL? That'll solve the dilemma.

As explained above there are so many variables that make this timeline very difficult to meet.

Examples:
- Every time I have gone to early MK dining ADR we have been held back. Not once have I entered "early".
- One early ADR we were held at tunnel under train station past what we expected. We were first and could see Town Square full of trucks and workers still. We were going to be late. CM said "everyone will be late but you'll be first."
- We have been sent to HUB, directed left to CM and had to scan our MB for THIRD time. (this seems to vary widely, maybe due to staffing)
- EVERY SINGLE time we went to MK early to go straight to ride 7DMT it has not been open yet, and didn't open until after park did.

Just do the ILL for 7DMT and get to your ADR on time.

I think a lot of restaurants can be pretty flexible on times. But CRT is probably one of the most strict. You won't wait 30 minutes to be seated at park open. They are looking to keep on schedule and turn those tables over on time.

As others have said, it could work, but not likely. If EE is 8 am, you would need to be at the park by 7:15 to be near the front of the line. Arriving at 7:30, there will be a huge group waiting already. Then at RD, you need to walk very quickly as the crowd moves very fast to 7DMT. Even with a grace period for your ADR, I'm not sure you could make it. Within 15 minutes of RD, 7DMT can have a 30-45 minute + wait.

It would make for a long day, but you could wait until later in the evening when the line for 7D gets short.

We visited recently and found an actual wait of 15 minutes about a half hour before the park closed. The posted wait was 50 minutes. We could have done it twice but opted for a last minute carousel ride instead.

Our longest wait ever using this strategy for 7D was 20 minutes during opening week in 2014.

Not to mention this would be the most stressful wait ever with it being that tight. No way I'd do this to myself on purpose.
