I bought a seven day park hopper about 4 years ago, thinking we would be going back soon and to avoid price increases. It doesn't look like we will be going to Florida for a while yet but have the opportunity to go to California soon. If you haven't guessed by now what my question is.....Is there anything we can do with these tickets to get us into Disneyland or will I have to buy tickets and hope we get to Florida again some time. I know I can depend on good advice from this board. :thumbsup2

Disneyland no longer accepts Disneyworld tickets like they had done in the past.

If it's unused, you could try and sell it - ebay or similar - give it to a friend or relative, offer to a favorite charity, or else just keep it. It will be worth more and more to you every year until you do make another trip.

Yep, as long as it is unused, it should be good forever - or at least as long as Disney is in business.

The only issue with giving it away to friends, relatives, charities, or selling to the same is if you used any days from it it will be linked with your biometrics.

There might be some other issue with re-sale and the "non-transferable" legal language, but if you're just selling the one I doubt the Disney lawyers will track you down over it.

The tickets have never been used. I would like to sell them if I could, but not if I had to do anything illegal or against good morals. Thanks for the info. It looks like I will just hang onto them and try to use them some day.

I honestly wouldn't worry. I think that legalese is primarily there to prevent (or reduce) ticket scalping. Otherwise, you would not be able to buy tickets and give them as gifts. :confused3

But if you think you will go back to WDW at some point, I'd just keep them to use. They'll be cheaper than new tickets at that time.

Warning, I wouldn't sell to anyone that you don't know personally.

Its been posted that a seller used Ebay to sell tickets and got scammed by the buyer. Not going to go into details.

Also its very hard to sell them online since everyone is going to look at them and wonder if they are valid tickets and they, the buyer, is getting scammed. (not at all saying that you are scammer :goodvibes)

I used to be an Ebay powerseller and have no problem buying and selling on there. You can get a really good price selling on Ebay but you do get hit with ebay and paypal fees.

If you are worried about issues just makes a note in the listing to only allow buyers with at least 5 positive reviews to bid.

I just sold a watch on ebay for 2600.00 (won it but don't need it)- after fees I walked away with just over 2250.00. Easy transaction and a happy buyer- plus it paid for our Disney resort and plane tickets- woohoo!

Yes Ebay is great to sell "real" tangible items. Tickets like these are another matter completely. They have no intrinsic value they are just pieces of plastic and their worth is in a computer at WDW.

Like I posted, someone sold their 10 day tickets on Ebay and got scammed by the seller, they actually got away with it but at least it wasn't the seller that got hit, it was Disney but if the seller didn't know how tickets worked they would have been scammed. Unfortunately the buyer also knew how tickets worked.

I knew they were not accepting the new RFID tickets, as the DL ticket system had no way to read them. But are they also no longer accepting the older pre-2013 tickets, the same ones that they used to accept?

That would be a bit of a bummer, as this was one tricky way to get multi-day, non-expiring tickets for DL, even though the park itself sells no similar option.

Yes they are no longer taking WDW tickets at all. It popped up here just a few days ago but it seems like its a new policy that started late Fall.
