I HATE SNOW! And I hate ice, and slush, and cleaning off the car (and the frozen car door handles), and I hate not being able to breathe for the bitter wind, and the frozen metal of the gas pumps. And I hate bulky coats in the car and boots. And not being able to get any fresh air in the house.

And the way it takes forever to get anywhere! Can't walk fast (ice), can't drive fast (more ice).

Geez, I hate winter.

We just moved to Florida this summer, from Syracuse!!

Us too! We lived in Radisson for 4 years and now we're in south Sarasota county. (Before that we were in the Catskills and grew up on LI)

DH has a list of people to call as the weather up north worsens. I know I sound mean, but we are giggle at the weather forecast these days!

We are so happy to live in Florida!

I sympathize. I am supposed to leave from Ohio on Monday after Thanksgiving and they are predicting snow in the mountains of WV and VA which I have to drive through. They had better be throwing lots of salt down and have those plows out! I am hoping that since Sunday will be a big travel day with everyone going home after Thanksgiving, by Monday everything will be OK on the roads. I'll get out and kiss the ground when I get to North Carolina and out of those mountains!

Lots of pixie dust for all of you facing the big white. Understand your concern, as we will be flying out of Phila on 12/30 & am praying already for no icing or snow. Don't want to spend 1 extra minute on the ground. Can't wait for sunny FLA.

OMG I can't believe all the people from upstate NY leaving at about the same time for Disney. I'm from Oswego and we are leaving this Friday morning. Not too worried yet about the snow only because when we left last year on the same day...it was a white out in Oswego but by the time we got half way to the airport it was clear. It's all with that disney magic and pixie dust that we make it there!!!! Good luck to all that have to leave when the snow starts!!! We will be going from to

He he he. We are in Kings Park, on the east end. Near Northoport. Everyone in my family thinks Im crazy. But they dont have to do the shovleing or cleaning off the cars. I do it all, and love doing it. I think i just like being cold. B/c you can always make yourself warm. As aposed ot hot, sticky, muggy. Now that i HATE! lol

I hate snow too! We already had snow before halloween so I know we are in for a lonnnnnnnggggg winter! I always crack up when I read the info on MVMCP and they talk of snow on Main Street... yeah that's a great selling point- I HATE SNOW!!!!!

me too! we just had our first lake- effect- boo -hiss- i'm- not -ready -yet- snow a few days ago...it stinks even though it's later than normal, it's not late enough

We got about a foot out here just east of Cleveland.

Quite literally, shorts one day (chilly, but shorts were seen) and a FOOT OF SNOW the next.

It was so ridiculous that we even made the national news.

Snow stinks!!!!!!!!!!!

we must live around you but thankfully only got about 6 "( well actually i thinksince i had the flu and was too sick to watch the weather or go out but it looked like that much from my warm bed ) however it's not as bad as the 4 ft we had the first year we moved here in Nov. that was truly disgusting

I live in Buffalo, well just south of Buffalo, and I too HATE SNOW. I would not be here right now if all of our family wasn't here. I keep telling them we should relocate the family. It's freezing, wet, dark and depressing here until about mid April. If I never saw snow again it would be fine with me...

ECurto, I'm with you! I would rather be cold than hot! You can always put on more clothes. Besides, the snow "keeps away" poisonous snakes, mudslides, earth quakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, brush fires, alligators. I have never had a snow storm rip the roof off my house and spew my possessions over a couple hundred acres. I guess I belong in the northeast, for now. (talk to me again in 40 yrs.)

I am right there with you...I HATE SNOW..... I always say that God made a mistake with where I was born, or my mother did ...or someone...lol!!!! I need to be closer to the equator!!!!!

Hopefully you will have no snow before you leave, and remember, those darned weathermen always get it wrong!

oooooooooo i am soooo with you on this one!!!! we love love love the snow!!! even all the snowblowing, and cold, and cleaning up that goes with it all!!!

though i don't like to see anyones travel plans get messed up!!!

we have 5 seasons here in maine spring, summer, fall, winter, and MUD!! and i do love them all (yes even the mud) but, winter is my favorite of all!!
