I hate shorts and t-shirts! is it just me?

I know lots of guys who use it so their nipples don't bleed during marathons. I find that pretty off-putting, but don't feel the need to pretend I don't know that it happens.

Muscular legs touch too you know. Not just the kind you have nightmares about.

Well yeah, in a race. I also put Aquaphor between my toes for any run over 10 miles but I have never thought about doing that just walking around. Relax, I just asked a question.

Body Glide? We've had pretty good luck with the Monistat Anti-Chafe gel, but I may look into Body Glide next time I'm near that sporting goods store who's name always gets censored here!

I look better with my upper body covered and my legs exposed (Ive been told I have dynamite legs :confused3 ). Wish I could find a dress for my upper body! :rotfl2:

I won "The Best Leg Contest" granted I won't tell you what yr it was.:crazy2:.
That is why Glide is my bestfriend in the summer.

OK, never having worn a dress anywhere let alone to WDW I have to ask, why would someone's thighs chafe when walking in one? Please don't say because their thighs rub together when they walk...please. That isn't a visual I need.

I'm pretty sure if your thighs don't touch when you walk, you might need a cheeseburger.

I just looked that up. Pretty nifty.
I never knew such a thing existed. What I learn when I venture off the Disneyland forum.

I learned about on Disboards yrs ago. I learn all my valuable information on these boards. I swear I can probably take the Bar and pass. :rotfl2:

The only time I wore a dress in Disney was when I got married. :thumbsup2

OP, I would wear whatever you feel comfortable in. I wouldn't wear dresses and skirts because I am afraid I would flash everyone getting out of a ride. Maybe wear some tights or something under the dress? :confused3

I've even been known to carry a "gasp" fanny pack  so that I can be hands free!

You are not alone. I always carry a fanny pack when we go. The last time we went, I never even bothered to take my purse with me. When I have the fanny pack, I have a place for my camera, wallet, car keys, stuff I always end up shoving in there for the kids....etc.

I also like to be hands free (well, that leaves me room for my mickey ice cream, dole whips and all the stuff I buy.)

I manage to be hands-free without a fanny pack. I have a small day bag from a Disney cruise that can hold everything I need. I angle it across my body & make sure the flap is facing inward & it's onward & upward!

Ok, so I am just doing my packing list for our holiday that is now 33days away and DH is making fun of me!
"Why don't ya just pack a load of shorts and t-shirts like the rest of us?"
"for god's sake pack some trainers so you can walk faster then a tortoise."

Am I seriously the only lady out there who just can't feel confortable walking around looking like, well not like me thats for sure! There will be pictures taken of me in virtually every outfit I wear on my holiday,so why would I suddenly not care what I look like?:confused3

I have invested in a couple of pairs of nice coloured denim shorts and I have a few nice t-shirts that I will wear with these. I have also made us family t's and will be wearing these one of the days.
I will be packing my trainers but these are to wear to the gym, NOT to be worn with shorts or anything else because noones legs look good in trainers!:sad2:
What I have packed is a couple of jersey pencil skirts with 4 matching strapless tops,
A shorts playsuit
1 Amazingly cute maxi dress
1 jersey vest type dress
1 white tea dress
2 shift dresses forevening
1 pair coloured jeans
1 sundress
A few vest tops
3 pairs of flip flops
Toms
2 bikinis
Cardi for aircon places

prob a few things I've forgotten about but its hardly a huge list. We will be in florida for 21 nights so its a long time. Plus I'm from ENGLAND so I don't ever wear shorts because its too flippin' cold!!!!:sad2: I am just so used to being covered up that "letting it all hangout" is just a very strange concept for me to handle! I can manage at the pools because its a pool, but walking around in the day, I like to look nice. I don't do heels (I'm 5'8 so never do) and I wear a bit oftinted moisturiser and mascara so I'm not exactly dressed inapropriately. I guess its just my style, I like skirts and dresses, I like to be girly and shorts and a t-shirts just make me feel blah!:rolleyes2
so am i insane? Am i totally on my own for not being willing forgo for the shorts t and trainers look?

Wow, you can't walk around in a t-shirt and shorts, but you can in a bikini???

I've even been known to carry a "gasp" fanny pack  so that I can be hands free!

I used to rock the fanny pack like nobody's business. Wore that sucker with pride. Someone managed to convince me how uncool it was and so I switched to a swingpack/across the body purse. I haven't found one that doesn't hurt my shoulder after a day in the parks.

I always wear dresses or skirts at disney (and everywhere else too!). I love all the beautiful skirts and dresses out there and, of course, tennis shoes look weird with virtually everything I like to wear, LOL. So I'm on the hunt for some cute but comfy sandals for our next trip and I'll probably be wearing a little bit 'dressier' clothing than anyone else in the family but that's ok, we'll all wear what we want and as long as we all look presentable and we're comfortable and having a good time then it will be perfect.

OP, I don't do shorts or trainers either, and we just got back a few weeks ago from a trip where I wore dresses and sandals/flip flops every single day. I have NEVER been more cool and comfortable touring the parks, and we have been many many times, but this was our first summer in quite a while!

I wore bike shorts underneath my dresses, even tho they were all long, and never had a single problem getting in and out of rides, or walking around. Even sitting on the ground for parades.

We saw LOTS of women in dresses, and I got tons of compliments from CM's about looking cute and comfortable. One even chased me down to ask me where I had purchased my particular favorite red one. :goodvibes

I say go for it, but throw in some "back-up" outfits, just incase you find you're not a comfy as you thought you would be.

Ugh, so predictable.

Yes, women's thighs touch when they walk. Women of all sizes. I'm thin, in great shape (yes, I realize I'm saying that about myself :) ), my inner thighs touch at the tops when standing still, legs together. It's the natural shape.

Even people like Cameron Diaz or other celebs famous for their bodies, their thighs touch at the top.

It's kind of sad I just typed this out....:lmao:

not really true.. Overweight people tend to have thighs that chaff like that.. That said, they made some sportsglide or such to help with the chaffing. So that might be an option.

But fit folks don't have the issue, it is the folks well with big thighs..

:thumbsup2

I don't remember the last year I wore a dress. It was when pantyhose were in fashion - the first time. :p

I live in T-shirts. However, I do NOT wear crewnecks! Ugly, horrible neckline for women.

yes, really true, women who aren't overweight still have inner thighs that touch right at the top.:confused3

(I'm actually now googling celebs in bikini pics..my boyfriend is helping :) ...so far Cameron Diaz, Megan Fox, Demi Moore -before she became ungodly skinny, Scarlett Johanson... Salma Hayek, Halle Berry..) even the beach volley ball players, some of their thighs touch at the top....
